Solid white Belgian. Banana, clove, spice... nice. Lower Abv than I care for.

Pours with two fingers head, solid retention and lacing. Worthwhile. Don't write home, but have one in the way.

A: Hazy reddish orange color with quarter inch silky white head that dissolves shortly after the pour

S: Belgian yeast, mild fruity esters, faint sweet wheat malt but mostly funky yeast

T: Tart funky Belgian yeast is present from start to finish, mild citrus and wheat notes are present, a little clove, and no real hop presence

M: Light to medium feel, crisp carbonation to clean up the funky yeast flavor that tries to linger

O: Sold as a white but drinks like a mild sour. I did enjoy this Belgian white and but it did seem a bit funky for the style. I also liked that over the few weeks I have been drinking on this 6 pack , the flavors have changed even in that short amount of time.

[Suggested Glassware: Weizen Glass]

The pour was a slightly cloudy golden orange with an average (1-2 finger) white fizzy head that diminished steadily, down to a light film with a small collar that did last throughout and had fair drippy lacing.

The aroma was of a light grain malt and a musty Belgian yeast with notes of citrus (orange and lemon), coriander and a mild scent of wet grass.

The taste was lightly sweet and rather citrusy from the start, becoming quite yeasty with a tart lemony finish. The flavor lasted an average time proceeding the swallow, with a lingering citrus wheat taste left behind.

Mouthfeel was just a tad past light in body with a mildly dry texture and a carbonation that was just a bit past soft in intensity.

Overall this was a smooth, tasty and very refreshing Witbier that possessed a unique lingering tartness at the finish. This would definitely make a great summer session brew...

Medium sized off white head settles into a pretty nice lacing above a well carbonated cloudyish caramel golden-bronze colored Witbier.

Wheat grain malts, yeasts, citrus fruit rinds, and a light light black pepper and maybe other spices aroma.

Dark spices up front, pepper corn like, overwhelm but mix well with the wheat malt then through in a very light yeastiness and you have the taste of this belgian style.

A light pepper tasting dryish aftertaste on this light to medium bodied beer.

This beer comes in a blandish can with a blandish name and delivers a bit more then advertized, I was mildly impressed, especially considering what I had anticipated prior to opening it.

A: Pours a cloudy golden orange in color with moderate amounts of fine visible carbonation and some light amounts of small white yeast particles in suspension. The beer has a finger tall white head that slowly fades to a thick film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of wheat, orange, apricot, anise, and peppery yeast.

T: The beer starts out with light flavors of wheat underneath the more subtle yet complex flavors of orange, orange zest, apricot, and anise with lighter amounts of peppery yeast near the finish. Maybe some more notes of fennel.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness in the finish.

O: This is an interesting take on a Witbier with the addition of the fennel and anise flavor. Nice amounts of complexity and easy to drink, could be a sessionable beer.
