Let me preface this review by stating that this place caters just as much to cigar geeks as beer geeks, so it can get pretty smokey when it's busy. Know that before you go in.
I probably would have rated this place a little lower if it were closer to Atlanta where there is alot to choose from. However, considering this is in Rome, Ga, this place is a true blessing. I'm about 95% sure that they don't serve food in this place, which is fine by me.
There are several leather chairs and couches to sit in if you don't want to sit at the bar, which is nice. Their selection is pretty good, and probably better than many bars elsewhere in the state, but like I said earlier, this place is fantastic considering how woefully unsophisticated the area is. They have 5 or 6 things on draught, none of which is BMC (which they pointed out to me and were quite proud of), and several bottle selections; a couple of things from Rogue, couple things from Unibroue, couple things from Victory, Duvel, & Foret to name a few. I don't recall what all they had on draught, but I know they had DFH60min because that's what I had. In fact, I was there at happy hour and had two pints of DFH60 and my total was $4,00. That's right, $2 pints of DFH. The guy pouring the beer while I was there was actually one of the managers. He seemed pretty cool and he seemed to know his craft brew fairly well. All in all, a nice place. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there from where in the state I live, but if I lived further north or traveled through there frequently, I'd certainly be a regular.

I was a regular at this bar when I attended Berry College in Rome. The main focus is definitely cigars and the selection is more than adequate with a broad range that will satisfy casual to seasoned smokers.

The same can be said for the beer selection, although not as refined as the cigar choices, there's enough parity for almost anyone to enjoy. Bar hoppers will find local brews on tap for a reasonable price and while beer aficionados may not find exactly what they're looking for they should be able to find something comparable from a decent bottle collection.

The low-key vibe is almost unmatched if you favor a lounge feel (conversation) over a bustling bar scene (action.) Bar service is normally the only way to go but the place is rarely packed so wait time shouldn't be a problem. Highly enjoyable place to appreciate your drink or smoke.

I went to Old Havana for the first time last week, and I can definitely say that it will not be my last. I'm from Rome, and how I managed not to go in there before, I'm not sure. The selection of beer is good, with nine beers on tap, and 60+ more out of the bottle to choose from. The atmosphere is awesome, as it is very chill, and the owner was in there when I went in and he just started talking to me about beers and cigars and whatnot, and the other employees who were in there were very personable as well. I will definitely be back in there, soon, as they have Dogfish Head's 60 Minute IPA, which I haven't found anywhere else in Rome.

This quaint cigar bar is a delightful find, tucked away in a sleepy (aka, boring) little southern town. The old restored storefront is beautifully appointed and pleasant, with nice comfortable furnishings and decor. The bar is small but pleasant, and you can choose to quaff your beer on a barstool, a high-stool table, or a comfortable easy chair or sofa. There are 8 wonderful craft brews on tap, with changes from time to time, I'm told. A great selection of bottled craft brews is also available. I'm not into cigars, but there's a great selection of these available too for aficionados. A decent after-work crowd, lively but not too noisy. Finally, the bartender and patrons are quite engaging and friendly. I will stop by often when I'm in town. This little place is a great hidden treasure.

I stopped here while traveling on business. Rome is a nice town, with not much to do. I thought for sure I would have no luck getting a good beer. When I walked in, I was welcomed with cigar smoke. The place is real old-timey with dark wood, but not like a city cigar bar. It was worth some stinky clothes when I was able to get a 60 Minute IPA from the tap and a Storm King to go. They had some other taps, including Sam Adams and Terrapin as well as quite a few bottles. The people seemed quite friendly. There was a mix of local cigar smokers and college kids. I had a great time and will be back if I am through there again.
