A - Deep amber-orange color. about a finger of nice white head with okay retention. A little bit of lacing.

S - A very light mix of spiciness, sweetness, and malt smell. Not very powerful.

T - At first a bit sweet, followed by some nice toasted maltiness, with just a touch of hops to blend the taste nicely. A touch of bitterness in the aftertaste, but very well balanced.

M - Medium carbonation, and medium bodied. The right balance of the two, which created a very smooth beer.

D - The flavors were very well balanced but still a bit complex, but the beer still stayed smooth and even a bit crisp. Very drinkable beer overall.

I had this on tap at the Pump Station in Albany.
A- Nice orange-brown color. Quite bubbly and it had an excellent head that left a fair amount of lacing.
S- It has a very slight spicy malt scent to it.
T- Toasted malts dominate the taste, especially considering the lack of a pungent scent. You know, it's just more of an ale than a nice oktoberfest. Very sweet. It's solid, but not what I was looking for.

A: Very nice deep amber color with a perfect looking finger of white head. A nice amount of lacing as well. Very tight bubbles.

S: Wet leaves on the ground. A nice amount of spiciness. The malt is right up front. Just everything you want for the style.

T: Again I get wet leaves which is what I love about the style. The malt is so nice with just enough hops to balance it out. Most of the time the Oktoberfest beers just are malt bombs but this one had a nice delicate balance.

M: A little bit creamy and so smooth. Had two of these with lunch and could have had a few more.

D: Really excellent. Their seasonals keep getting better and better. Now the only thing left is waiting for old musty.

Flip-top growler filled at the brewpub.

Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/2" beige head over the slightly cloudy orangey copper brew. Head falls gradually, with plentiful yet delicate lasting lace. Aroma is sweet and lightly nutty. Taste is malty to start, a peek of fruit in the middle, and the sweetness is cut slightly by a shot of hops at the close. Malt flavor is at the perfect level, and carries through the entire taste experience. Mouthfeel is soft and smooth, and drinkability is superb. Loving this one!
