A: Dark black with ruby notes at the edges. A thin tan head on top that fell leaving some scattered patches.
S: Very tight nose. Some hop aroma and a touch of roast. If it was served warmer it might be different.
T: The hops are way more present in the flavor. They hit up front and quickly fade to sweet malt with balancing bitterness provided somewhat by hop bitterness but mostly heavily roasted malts. Aftertaste is some burnt chocolate.
M: Pretty thin for a stout but good considering the hops. Fairly low carbonation.
D: Not a bad beer but something seems a bit hollow in the flavor. I could drink it no problem but the pump station has better beers.
