I am not a huge fan of IPAs. Some I really like, some I really don't. This was one I didn't like.

This is my first review of an Ipswich brew. The color is a caramel-copper, not bad. The mouthfeel is very soft and heavy. The taste isn't super heavy on the hops, but has a little citrus to it. Above average IPA, but not as crisp as I'd like, maybe a bit overrated.

LOOK: Light Carmel Brown, Moderate Foamy Head

SMELL: Faint Citrus Aroma

TASTE: Smooth, but it has a Mild Smoked Carmel Bitterness After Taste to it that Lingers well after each Swallow

FEEL: Crisp, Refreshing and Moderately Carbonated

OVERALL: Another Quality, Well Thought-Out Beer Selection from IPSWICH ALE BREWERY

A: hazy; burnt orange in color; 1 finger off white head that receded slowly; nice lacing;

S: earthy with a bit of cirrus and caramel;

T: muted flavors; what's there is earthy with a touch of caramel; almost no bitterness until well after the swallow;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; creamy;

O: seemed more like an English style IPA than an American IPA; may have been old, but it was a freshly tapped keg;
