Light fizzy head fades fairly quickly after hitting 1 finger, pretty much no lacing, fairly hazy orange color slight reddish hue.

Nose bright amber malts, biscuit and toffee wheat like bock, light fruity lager like yeast, aromatic malt, light yeasty, light caramel with the toffee, and some light grassy hops with all that.

Taste creamy but a bit flat tasting, corn comes though with a creamy corny oily like trade, plenty of wheat bock and toffee caramel malt and light reddish toasty amber malt, light fruity lager and a bit yeasty. Some grassy hops too, light bitterness, oily but I think from the corn. Finish is sticky sweet and syrupy, light lingering toffee and caramel and grassy hops.

Mouth is med to lighter bodied, creamy and oily feeling, decent carb.

Overall kinda interesting, starts decent but doesn't really continue, gets meh.

I really dug this one. Poured a 3" opaque tan head with a good long lifespan, even leven merengue floaters to the end. The body is clear and cross between golden and sun tea. It smells very nicely of malt and hops and even a hint of fruit. The first sip strikes immediately with a very cream mouthfeel and the tastes double up on malts followed by sour mash and finally melon rind. Long warm sour finish. Quite a fun beer.

Ipswich Brewery Local 5 Series Corn Bock pours a brilliant clear, bronze color with a moderate, creamy head on top. The foam dissolves quickly, leaving behind a fair amount of lace.

The aroma isn't very strong. It has notes of light fruit (pear or white grape?), pale malt and a touch of pepper.

Each sip of this medium bodied beer is soft on the palate with an effervescent fizz. The flavor begins with pale malt/white bread, followed by light corn notes. It finishes mildly spicy and slightly bitter. Once gone the corn and spice linger on the palate.

This is an easy drinking beer that almost reminds me of a British Bitter than a Bock. It's nice to see a local brewery sourcing ingredients close to home.

This seasonal offering has a deep orange, carrot-like color and produces a massive beige head when poured into a glass. Its color is lustrous and uniform and not quite transparent. The nose is somewhat fruitier than I might expect for the style, and as this beer warms, it loses some of its nuance, giving way to a boozier aroma. I also detected a hint of white pepper and maybe cumin.

A medium-bodied "pre-Prohibition lager" according to the label, 5 Mile Corn Bock is pleasant to drink but perhaps not as successful as the Pumpernickel Rye Porter. A malty sweetness soon gives way to the flavor of toasted corn, which mingles with herbal, earthy hops in the finish. Drinkable and different I tasted arugula and roasted red pepper that can seem slightly harsh on the palate. Overall a solid product that just misses exceptional.
