Pours medium gold. Small white head, that laces surprsingly nicely.
Pilsen malts, spicy hops lead to a pleasant aroma to take in.
Twangy hops bitter the back of the tongue. Smooth malty backbone reinforces this offering rather nicely.
Good to style. Really enjoy this one.

I got the best mix of brews to session with this weekend ranging from the four brews from PBA found in the Burgh right now to some Southampton Keller Pils and Sierra Nevada Kellerweiss and Summerfest in the DBF. Appears a slightly hazed golden hue in the body with fine haziness suspended in the glass, full on thicket of bright white head forms nicely. Lacing is sporadic on my hop tulip pint glass from Sierra Nevada, aroma has a slight metallic hint to it with a nice mellow citrus playful malt and hop ratio. Flavor has a nice zesty citric hop mix going with some light toasted malts it has a light IPA flavor going on with the massive amounts of alpha acids from American hop additions. Mouthfeel is dry in the finish a nice unrelenting hop bitterness in a lighter styled brew, carbonation is sturdy even a bit much at times overall feel is a solidly dry hoppy finish that brings the hop burps cooking. Drinkability overall just due to the flavors provided and enjoyment of the product is very high. Add the sessionability to your drinkable score and this one rises substantially.

On tap at the South Philadelphia Tap Room.
Clear golden body topped by a semi-durable white head.
Rather herbal and dank hop aroma but a brighter and more fruity flavor.
Medium-light body and medium carbonation.
Overall: a solid, if unexceptional, ale.

On-tap at Noche in Philadelphia.
Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a one-finger white head. The head quickly recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving light lacing.
Smells of light pale malts with hints of floral hops.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Light and grainy pale malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by mild amounts of light citrus hop flavors. The malt flavors sweeten midway through the ship, carrying through to a mildly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with solid carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I had no problems finishing my glass and could have another.
Overall I didn't think this was crisp enough to be a traditional kolsch but it was still a fairly drinkable beer. Not worth seeking out but a decent beer that's worth a shot if you see it around.

At $3-$4 per pint, it's the best bang for your buck in Philly.
Light color and a nice head in the glass. Drinks clean and grainy with a noticeable kick of citrus hops. Light and bubbly with a metallic tang in the finish.
It's definitely an American take on lager rather than a traditional one, but if you want a light, crisp, hoppy lager, this is a good way to go. This is the beer Budweiser should be.

Phildelphia Brewing- Kenzinger
A- Light golden orange with a small but sticky head.
S- Fruits really come out at me. I detect Raspberry, Grape, and apple!? Good sweet buttery malt really kicks in.
T- Sweet fruit flavors; apple, cherry/ raspberry taint the buttery shortbread malt.
M- Thick and buttery throughout the body with a sweet, chewy, slight cloying finish.
Overall- Quite tasty and a surpise to me cause I didn't know what style this was until I started to drink and review it. A really good BBQ beer!

A- Aggressive pour to a pint glass. Overflowed the glass, but quickly dissipated to two fingers of white head, than dissipated to nothing at all. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a red color.
S- Smell is in-your-face HOPS and bread malt, nothing else!
T- Taste is a nice balance of bread malt, wheat and grain notes; it has great hop bitterness in the start and malt at the finish.
M- Mouthfeel is very heavy, hop bitterness and over carbonation.
D- This was a fine example of an IPA; it is surely not a Kolsch, pilsner, or even a lager. Not what I was wanting or expecting.

On draught at the Standard Tap.
I thought this was an American Pale Ale until I read the beer's description. The flavor has mild biscuit and bread malts with a small grapefruit hops kick that fades into a grassy and earthy aftertaste. I think I might get just a touch of dry toffee in there too. The aroma is similar with a subtle balance of clean pale malts and hops and the mouthfeel is right on for a lighter, yet tasty beer. All in all, this brew has balance, drinkability, and flavor. It also happened to be only $3 a pint, which all things considered, makes this beer a winner.
Cheers to PBC!

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Clear yellow brew with foam white head, holds its own. Crisp light malty aroma. A very fresh, homey flavor, minimal bitterness, lots of crispness and good flavor. Nicely balanced and very drinkable; screams session beer, immediately makes you want to grab another. Perect for summer.
