Pours with quite a bit of clarity, just a tint of haze, blonde-honey colored. Head is tall at 3 fingers, leaving some lace behind.

Rivals West Coast IPA's in aroma, it's got a truckload of piney bitterness with hints of fresh citrus and cilantro.

Flavors come off a little toffee-ish, which I'm not real fond of. It reminds me of Lagunitas Sucks a bit...it has the garlic, onion, and pine going on. Quite a bit of that caramel-toffee that's so cloying and rotten. Pine and metal finish out the profile.

Feel is both creamy and dry at the same time. Some sharp carbonation stabs in and out. Finish is both wet and leathery. Just odd.

I was going to buy a six pack of this and I'm so relieved I didn't. Perhaps this is an IPA-lover's IPA. Just not for me. I released it back into the wild (septic system).

The scent is pretty mild, but I'm picking up citrus, caramel, grass, apricot, light soap and some sugar. Fresh grain and more apricot become apparent as it warms a bit. Apricot, citrus, and bitter resin come through in the flavor with some sweet caramel in the finish. One of the better local Pale Ales.
