On tap at CAA, served in a footed glass. APA my fave style, or which Dales is the bench mark.

A) Muted, clear orange body with 1 finger head and no lace.
S) Large citrus aroma, with marmalade, caramel, and woody hops.
T) Clean balance of caramel malt and woody and citrus hop. Then cleansing hop bitterness, bready middle, dry finish. F) Light and smooth, and balanced APA.
O) Dales Pale is the #1 APA, but this is solid effort. Sum is good.

Fizzy, hazy, orange/golden body with a coarse white head, a few bands of stick lace. The nose offers a wonderful blend of tropical fruits; papaya mango guava orange pineapple. Alongside that is an undercurrent of toasted/caramel malt. The flavor turns into the icy cold wind of bitterness: grapefruit, pine, and dankness come out of the corners in stylish fashion, blanketing the warm sunny flavors of the nose. The body is very coarse as the bubble prick the tongue, and beyond that it isn't remarkable.
This one had aroma and flavor, but the details brought it down. Between the sweetly fruity nose and the dank bitter taste it covered a lot of hops' bases, but the unrefined appearance and feel brought it down from its lofty heights. Still, this is a crushable supra-par brew.

12oz can poured into a snifter
No can date

A- pours a golden-amber color with a slight haze, one-finger creamy white head that reduces to a a thin film floating on top

S- pine and citrus-rind hop aroma up front with notes of mango and tangerine, clean malt profile

T- juicy citrus hops up front with notes of tangerine and grapefruit, followed by pine resin. The finish gives more juicy hops with a clean toasted malt finish

12oz can. No apparent code date. Appearance: Deep golden, clear, with a low lying white head.
Aroma: Grapefruit and tropical fruit hop aromas, with some pineapple. Pleasant yet a bit restrained.
Taste: Light crackery maltiness with a moderately strong grassy and resinous hop bitterness. Much more of a grassy quality than the fruitiness that appears in the aroma.
Mouthfeel: Body is on the lighter side but not thin, with a low to moderate carbonation.
Finish: Dry with a strong grassy bitterness lingers with a touch of grapefruit that pops up retronasally.
Overall: This APA is definitely on the lighter, drier, grassier side of the style, with the overal flavor profile similar to what you find in New Glarus Moon Man. Aroma is very nice but somewhat restrained. Without dating on the can I'm not sure if that's due to age or just the process. A very good, refreshing APA
