Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Ah, childhood memories of vandalism I never committed... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear amber-salmon topped by a finger of relatively short-lived off-white foam. The nose is a liquid-spawned facsimile of a cherry-flavored Pop Tart, with some mildly-tart cherry juice surrounded by powdered sugar, dry bread, and a hint of vanilla extract. The taste focuses almost entirely on the cherries, which are more sweet than sour by a mile, but there remains some of that sweet, frosted crust way off in the distance, spying on the cherries in such a way as to be placed on any number of lists. The body is a lithe medium, with a rather light moderate carbonation and a fluid, nearly slick feel. Overall, I just couldn't fully get behind this beer. The fruit flavor comes across as artificial (in a syrupy way), and that "sweet, frosted crust" flavor doesn't help things at all.

Had on tap....

A- Pours a light pink color that is pretty clear overall. One finger white head shows good retention. The lace just covers the glass with a sticky film.

S- Sweet cherries dominate the aroma of the beer with there really being no other smells. Maybe there is a light yeasty aroma in the ending. Overall it's 99% cherry aroma and 1% yeast. Could have been a little more indepth but can't have it all.

T- Once again like in the aroma the sweet cherries come through. This is almost artifical tasting at best. This also doesn't show much else in the flavor at all...except maybe a sugary sweetness. No real other flavors like I stated before.

M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation good for the style. Cherries and sweetness are left on the palate. Aftertaste is mostly...well I take that back...is all cherry with maybe a hint of alcohol. Flavors were one sided with cherries being all there was. No off flavors at all. Light alcohol drying on the palate.

O- This beer is just average at best. The cherry flavor was sweet but good in a weird way. I didn't mind this beer but a little depth aroma and flavor profile wise could have done this beer a world of good.
