Finally made it down here again, this time long enough for a proper look around. I have been here when it was packed for an event and again at lunch time on an off day.

Atmosphere - This is one large space. Very nice looking, inside and out, with three separate seating areas and the bar area. It feels sophisticated yet laid back and casual. The bar area is sort of like a mini pub. I could hang out here often, although my wallet might protest that.

Quality - The quality is good. The beers are served in their proper glasses and the food has always been top notch. The location is awesome and the overall construction of the restaurant is great. One of the nicest looking brew pubs in the area.

Service - The first time I went here was during the recent sour event and the place was packed. Our server was good but he told us we could only order one sampler tray per table due to a shortage of glasses. Right, that is why the table right across from us had three people get them at the same time we did.

This most recent trip I ordered sweet potato fries as my side and when my food arrived, normal fries. I understand forgetting to put in the order right but he only had two tables at the time. How do you forget that? Not a huge deal but another misfire in the service department.

Selection - I am going to base this on the cumulative visits I have made here. The selection during the sour event was great. Six different sour beers from all over the spectrum, from a brett IPA to a sour cherry quad. They like to take chances and more often than not they pay off. On my most recent visit they really didn't have too many "great" offerings, more or less just their typical solid lineup. I did have a chance to try the Big Rye Wibby on cask and it was very nice. I plan on making it down for the IPA event in a few weeks, can't wait to try some of their famous hoppy beers!

Food - Here is where they got me back. Both times I have eaten here the food has been great. So far I have gotten the goat cheese pizza, turkey burger, and half of a pulled pork sandwich. The pizza was excellent, as was the pork. The turkey burger was good but the cheese and bacon really dominated the flavor of the burger. Either way the food has always been well prepared and I can't wait to try some of the other offerings.

Overall this is another great option for the local beer lovers. The beer and food is awesome and they are always having special events. Can't wait to stop down here again soon.

Sat at the bar and got very friendly and helpful service. We decided to try share a flight and then each had a pint. I didn't love any of the beers until I tried the house Wit, which was very, very good. They also had some kind of run-of-the-mill red that was very tasty to have with food. The appear to have a standard menu of beers that are always on and a rotating list of the rest. Their website can let you know ahead of time what's on now and what's coming up.

The food menu was ridiculously extensive, if you can't eat here, you can't eat. Our bartender really knew the menu and steered us in the right direction. For the meal, we chose a selection of appetizers, to get a feel for the place. None of them were a disappointment. They weren't huge helpings, but they were well-prepared and tasty.

The only downside was when a table full of children were seated behind us, in the bar area. I saw two indoor dining areas and a lot of outdoor seating but no, the raucous children were seated in what should have been the 'adult' area of the restaurant. I'll never understand why restaurant managers choose to alienate clientele who want some adult time out. Can't the bar area be 18+?

Beer selection is limited to those beers brewed in-house. However, they are very good with a wide range of styles. Food is high quality, nice selection, but a bit pricey. Excellent service.

Pretty nice restaurant space. Received two beer menus upon arrival; one year-round, one seasonals. Altogether they had about 16 different beers on tap. I like that the flights can be made up of both year rounds and seasonals with no upcharge. Ended up getting 2 flights, 8 4oz samples for $12. Not too bad. Food was solid, but a bit high on the price. We ended up choosing this place instead of spring house due to the reviews and the fact iron hill is more kid-friendly. Ended up being a good choice.
