I patronized Gourmet Pizza Shoppe in Redlands frequently during my time in school, I went there nearly weekly after long runs.

Beer selection is good. They have several Hangar 24 brews on tap. They also have several bottles, always some Rogue and Stone among others. This is the place that introduced me to Hangar 24 and I am grateful to them.

Pizza here is fantastic. I didn't like the IE overall, but I miss this place for sure. My favorite pizza is the Brando which includes cashews, angel hair pasta, and various meats. There are also many vegetarian options.

One of my favorite things about this place is their coupons and daily specials. On Mondays and Tuesdays they have Pint Night where craft pints are $3 (usually $5.50), and you can get $5-off a large pizza... this is an EXTREMELY good deal for their amazing pizza and great beer by H24.

If you are ever in the IE or driving through on the 10, it's worth stopping at Gourmet Pizza Shoppe. One of my favorite beer places and restaurants.

My first BeerFly review of 2010 takes me to Redlands. Like some of the other BeerFly bars in Redlands, Gourmet Pizza Shoppe is found in downtown Redlands. The interior is large, though it is decorated to make you think you are in Tuscany or some random Italian villa. You walk in, you place your order, then you pick you table, grab you drink, and wait.

Seven beers on-tap, plus about fifteen in the bottle. Six of the drafts are from Hangar 24, while the last tap is Alaskan Amber. The bottle selection consists of some Stone, Rogue, Alaskan, New Belgium, and a few other varieties. No fancy glassware either, just shaker pint glasses. However, there was no issue with my beer. $5 pints, $6 for 22 ounces.

The highlight isn't the beer though, it is the pizza. Gourmet Pizza Shoppe has won a number of "best of IE" awards for its pizza, and they create a variety of bizzare, yet tasty creations. I opted for a seven inch pizza with gravy, mashed potatoes, country fried chicken, and mozzerella cheese. Who knew that it could taste so good? Order one!

It's crazy when BeerFly leads me to trying one of the better pizzas in the land. And the fact I can drink some craft beer with one of the best pizzas in the land....hmmm....try it out.

Right down the street from my school and apartment

One of only bars in the area that serves microbrews

Have their own beer which is worth checking out and offer growlers of it, as well as other beers they carry on tap

Large selection of San Diego beers: Karl Strauss, Green Flash, Stone, and Ballast Point

Also have Alacatraz, Rogue, and several other bottles

Pitchers and pints are a little expensive, but not too much to complain about, but a medium pizza will run you 15-17 dollars

Crazy pizzas that are really good though

Some examples:
1. Cholula hot sauce instead of tomato sauce with 7 different meats
2. Country gravy instead of pizza sauce, topped with fried chicken bacon, provolone cheese, and mashed potatoes
3. Teriyaki sauce, chicken, ham, bacon, salami, steak, pepporoni, capicolla, prosuictto, and sauasage

College hangout at night time

Big TVS for sports games and down the street from 4 other bars

Thursday nights is Market Night on State St. where you can find several food and clothing vendors along the street

This place is great, some of the best pizza I have ever had
