A great neighborhood pub in a fantastic area. The taps are very limited but you'll find something and the atmosphere makes it worthwhile. It's not a destination pub but if you're in the area, it's well worth a visit.

Stopped in while staying near LAX. Easy five minute drive and had no trouble parking at 7:30pm or so. Seemed like a real locals place - everyone seemed to know each other. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Beer selection was small, but very good. El Segundo DIPA on tap was great, Strand Pale Ale was good, and a few other standards were available.

The chili was great, the "chips" delicious and different. Will definitely be back when I'm staying nearby again.

Was trying to get to the Rock n Brews Bar in downtown El Segundo and had trouble parking, then found myself right outside of here - decided to check it out as I saw it listed on BA.

What a throwback! Read that this bar opened in 1921, seemed like it. The place oozed charm. Things were dated but I dug it. Bar stools were comfy and the permanent non moving type.

Greeted by an attractive, super-friendly barkeep who treated me like a regular. They have about 10 taps here, including Anchor Liberty and Stone Arrogant Bastard. Schooner of Anchor Liberty for $8.50? Schooner of AB for $9? SOLD!

Had 1 of each and just enjoyed the scene. Clientele was ordinary people like me...middle aged and just looking to chill out.

Cash only...but for a place like this I didn't mind that much.

Worth a stop if you're around downtown ES.

I've been to most of the popular craft beer bars in Los Angeles like Fathers Office, Blue Palms Brewhouse, Bottle Rock, Naja's etc. but this is by far my favorite.

They have 3 rotating craft taps where I've had excellent brew from Stone, Port, Deschutes, Oskar Blues, etc. (too many to list). I don't think I've ever seen a beer over $6 (including rare barleywines and DIPAs), and most are around $5.

In a city dominated by ridiculously huge craft beer selections, the limited choices is a refreshing change.

Occasionally they have disappointing choices on the their three rotating taps, but luckily they constantly have Firestone Pale Ale, Anchor Liberty and Murphy's Irish Stout on tap. Not the best beers, but solid choices and for under $5/pint, it can't be beat.

The only downside of the beer is that everything is served out of pint glasses (or schooner glasses if you're really thirsty). It'd be great if they had the appropriate glassware for each style - but it's not realistic for the small place to carry all of them. Though, getting a schooner of barley wine for $8 that will last you 4 hours is awesome.

The food is good, with amazing homemade potato chips, the best restaurant chili I've ever had, great burgers and sandwiches - all reasonably priced.

The atmosphere is the best. It's a mom&pop owned restaurant, cash only, friendly servers, with a bunch of old crap all over the walls. The place was built in 1921 so it's got some history. It is a great place to sit and relax with a beer with friends. No loud music, no annoying people. Just good times with beer.

I highly recommend everyone check this place out.

Anchor Liberty, Firestone Pale Ale and Murphy's Stout on tap all the time. Three rotating taps with different things from places like Port, Stone, Deschutes, Bear Republic, Widmer, Oskar Blues and DFH.
Nice patio area in the back where you can smoke a cigar on a warm day. Something thats getting pretty rare, especially in California.
Food selection is pretty good and fairly priced for what you get. Nice choice of different soups during the week with clam chowder on friday. Great small locals type ale house.

A throwback hidden little place that usually has two or three quality rotating craft taps. I've had the Stone Bitter Chocolate Oatmeal Stout, Arrogant Bastard, Racer 5, Speedway Stout, Anchor, Firestone IPA and all kinds of holiday beers there. Excellent bar food and their homemade chips are fantastic. Run by a husband and wife who are friendly as are the bar staff as well as the patrons. All and all a real neighborhood place where you can feel comfortable and always get a tasty beer. I've been quite a few times and never been disappointed. Only drawback, as with everything in Mayberry, they close early.

2 blocks away from ym old house and I was lucky to have this one and right up the street from the Chevron Oil Refinery

Had several taps from Alesmith, Pizza Port Brewing/Lost Abbey, Anderson Valley, Bear Republic, Anchor Steam, Angel City, and Murphy's over the summer months

Best burgers in the South Bay to boot, served with half potato chip/french fry type things that are really good as well

Burger and beer combo is about 9 or 10 dollars and worth every penny

About 10 taps total and several bottle offerings

Do not be tricked by the BUDMAN beer with the cool tap handle, it is just normal Budweiser, made that mistake once myself

The traitor sandwich is also a must have, fried chicken with canadian bacon and jack cheese

Almost always have Alesmth Nautical Nut Brown Ale on tap and it goes amazing with food this like this

Other regulars include Racer Five and Liberty Ale

Lots of cool vintage bottles and cans along the walls including several European and Belgian beers

Abbot Ale is very cheap her for a tall can, about $2.50 I think

Pints are around 4 dollars and 32 ounce schooners or mugs, whatever you want to call them, are $6.50

Owned by a nice family, went to high school with their son

The only real negative thing is that it closes at arounf 9pm Monday through Friday, Saturday at 3 pm and it is closed Sundays
