Served at Crooked Ladder Brewery, recently purchased by Southampton Brewery, into a conical pint glass.
A: Poured a straw to golden color with white head; modest Belgian lacing.
S: Bready with a light citrus note.
T: Toasty with more obviously lemon citrus; minimal bitterness. Crisp finish.
M: Medium bodied; solid effervescence.
O: Drinkable and enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 5/20/2014. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy golden straw color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of lemon, peach, apricot, pear, apple, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, moderate pale malt, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, peach, apricot, pear, apple, pepper, clove, light banana/bubblegum, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, peach, apricot, pear, apple, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, moderate pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly grainy/creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as epected of 5%. Overall this is a very nice Abbey single/Belgian pale ale style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, moderate pale malt, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

a solid showing and a good summer beverage, pale yellow and a good head, taste of grain and slight malt, feel is light and of a low ABV although at 5.0. crisp, short and dry enjoyable, would drink at a party or even buy another sixer.

bottle into a cup at the pool (in southampton). nice blonde with some good Belgian flavoring to set it apart but mostly standard blonde and fairly grainy. easy drinking and nice summer brew, accessible to even the non craft drinking crowd.

I tried this on tap at Stone Grille Tap House in York, PA.
The color is pale golden with white head with fine bead and streaks of lace stick to the glass. The smell is slight pilsner malt with light citrus and mild yeast ester wtih a slight mineral accent. The feel is lightly toasted malt texture with light sweet element with slight dry yeast quality with a subtle spiced earthiness.
The taste is very good with a tangy yeast with European ale quality and slight malt flavor with light toast in the malt with sweet element and herbal hop flavor with a mild lemony taste with earthy accent which augments the yeast character with light bready flavor in the finish. Overall I consider this a very nice blonde - which is great very enjoyable summer style nice and quaffable.
