Drank from a 12 oz. bottle purchased at Marty's Liquors, Boston, MA
Poured a deep copper-amber with a very small head that quickly disappeared.
Initial aroma was faint and had a metallic tinge. Later, however, rich and buttery notes, caramel malts and a touch of nutmeg came through.
Taste was quite bland and consisted of faint malts, toffee and spices with a small hop presence in the finish. There was definitely no "crisp hop character" which the label claimed.
Very thin and watery mouthfeel. Toward the end of the drink, the lack of carbonation made the beer particularly unpleasant.
