Southampton never fails to hit the mark, and their Keller Pils is no exception. The malt is grainy and sweet, and the hops are floral and spicy - both in the aroma and the flavor. The small amount of yeast adds a subtle touch of character as well. It's solidly bitter, but not overdone, leaving it perfectly balanced. The malt appears up front, followed immediately by the hop flavors, and then a rising bitterness as you enter the long, dry finish. It's not a complex beer, nor is it intended to be, but it is full of flavor. if there's any flaw here it's that the head retention could be better. Quite nice. Well worth trying.

Dark yellow in color with a heavy, unfiltered haze. Poured with a moderate, creamy, bright white foam with very good retention. Aroma of clean pilsner malt with hints of earthy hops. Medium light bodied with medium high, soft, expanding carbonation. Pilsner malt flavors with earthy, spicy hops. Medium, slightly acidic, spicy hop bitterness through the middle. Pilsner malt and spicy noble hop flavors on the back end. Finished with bready pilsner malt flavors and a very light herbal hop bitterness. The BA profile has this lister as a German Pils, but is a Kellerbier. Good balance and very tasty.

On tap at the Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a slightly hazy golden, glowing yellow, with a one inch head, and a good amount of lacing. It definitely looks unfiltered. As such, it looks beautiful.
This one smells pretty bready, with some lemony citrus, and spicy grassy hops.
This is up there with the best pilsners I've ever had. So clean and refreshing, with a nice and present hop flavor, grassy and spicy hop flavors, and a great crackery and bready malt backbone. It's essentially everything you want a pilsner to be. At least, it's everything I want a pilsner to be.
This is medium bodied, light but still full, great mouthfeel, slightly creamy, and super crisp. Very drinkable and refreshing.
Just super awesome and one of the best pilsners I've ever had.
