On tap at Weasel Boy this past weekend.
Pours a clean light golden color with a good white head and some light lacing down the sides. The nose carries a bit of light sweetness and some bread. Nothing complex, but nicely done. Flavor is lightly sweet and has bready notes and a touch of honey. Light body with good carbonation. An easy sipper on a very hot day.

Pours a rather dark copper color, instead of a light blonde, but it does have some decent head and lacing. Great scent, hints of clover honey and a nice sweet maltiness. Great clean, sweet flavor, a nice light malty beer with hints of butter and enough hops at the end to mellow it out a bit. Good, clean, refreshing; it goes down quite nice.

I wasn't expecting much from this beer; a lot of brewers have an "approachable" beer meant to placate American light lager drinkers and blonde ale seemed like a proxy for this at Weasel Boy (BTW, in case you hadn't picked this up, for most users of this site, approachable = boring). However, I was pleasantly surprised - this beer had a lot more flavor than I expected and I really enjoyed it.

The body was a hazy light straw color with a small-bubbled head that quickly faded, which didn't do much for my confidence in this beer. But the aroma indicated that my first impression may have been wrong - this beer had a malty, balanced aroma and a very crisp flavor that was reminiscent to me of a dortmunder. A number of Weasel Boy's had this dortmunder character; sometimes it was appropriate for the style, sometimes it wasn't, but it was always tasty. For a blonde ale, I think it's fine (the style seems to be a mile-wide [and an inch deep]). Mouthfeel was quite crisp, again owing to that "dortmunder" character.

It was a really nice beer to drink at the brewery patio overlooking the river on a nice warm, sunny day...which happened to be where I was enjoying it. It's not an RIS, a DIPA, and it's not aged in whiskey or wine barrels, but I still found it to be quite solid and pleasant.
