Draft at PDX brewpub. Initial scent is right on the money, but faint. Light golden body with small airy head. Taste is also in the zone, floral and spicy, but again just shy of the mark. Finish is dry and chalky, almost puckering. Decent but could be more full bodied, and should be quenching, not make you more thirsty.

Very sudsy and fragrant. I drank a glass thinking it was some kind of Pale Ale. Paying more attention, it does have the Belgian character, but is not overly yeasty. There is a light lemony note with that classic pear and Malt-O-Meal cereal taste, a mellow wheaty pleasure.
Big pile of foam in the Bitburger Pils glass. Pale golden color. This is a lighter, brighter sort of Saison. Oustanding drinkability. A great alternative to other styles of light beers, especially the tiresome "session IPA." From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Special Brews in Lynnwood, Wash.

22 oz bottle from Lifesource in Salem Oregon. $4.99 Clear sunflower oil yellow beer with a small bubbly head..leaves goodly lace. Saison aroma..yeast, pepper, flowers, earth and some slight bubblegum Taste is really nice peppery,, yeasty..some cloves and a bit of ginger. Very nice Good mouth feel this one is well carbonated and good compared to other US attempts that are under carbonated. Very nice saison here.

pours a slightly murky, opaque pale yellow, with creamy pale head of foam. Medium-light bodied, smooth on the tongue. A light citrus hoppy smell, with musky essence. Similar to a hefeweissen, but with more character and flavor. The flavor was very light hops, with predominant yet subtle grapefruit citrus, and with the delicate musky undercurrent the saisson is qualified by.
A solid example of this beer.
