A: Light golden color, slight head. Good lacing down the glass.
S: Smell is biscuity with nice hoppy scent as well
T: Taste is slightly sweet up front with a nice hoppy aftertaste. Well balanced.
M: Moderate to heavy carbonation
D: Pretty good beer, tasted very similar to the Red from this place. Nice beer though.

It is fitting somehow that I drank this ale on the first day of its release, as it was brewed in honor of the birth of the brewerÂ’s son. Julian Pale is a clear, burnished copper ale that delivers a thick rug of white suds. It is pleasingly bitter with a leafy, tannic flourish. The bright, hoppy aroma releases itself quickly and is gone, taking most of the head with it.

The tannins tax the mouthfeel somewhat though Sleepless/Julian is otherwise a fine ale with haunted lace that leaves an essence of Amarillo hops upon the breath. We should all be so lucky to enter this world with a beer this enjoyable named in our honor.
