Pours a fairly clear orange/pink... off white head... good retention and lacing.
Nose is big lactic sour with raspberry and some sorta tannic notes.
Flavor ... puckery tannic but the berries are present but seem to be dying off...
light body... very drinkable... not overly acidic and not acetic at all.
This one should be enjoyed sooner than later.

750mL corked and caged bottle poured into a tulip. Thanks to Jason for yet another bottle!
(A)- Pours a cloudy ruby red color. Some white froth and lacing.
(S)- Fruity, but massively floral/raspberry-like. A dry oaky part at the finish.
(T)- Again, fruity, but a heavy dry oak and vanilla profile. Like the smell was; rather floral, almost earth in the raspberry fruit.
(M)- A higher carbonation level. A nice balance of berry fruit, dry oak, and very subtle Brett funk.
(D)- Not as sour as expected, but it sure portrays the dry oak of the barrel effectively. Again, not as sour, but all the other elements of the beer combined together are quite nice.

Shared by starrdogg at a recent tasting. Thanks Matt!
The beer is pink, appearing cloudy and hazy. The head is small and diminishes rapidly, leaving sparse lacing on the glass. The aroma is the best aspect of this beer. Piquant raspberries with a pleasant earthy quality. The taste is decent, but certainly a step down from the nose. Sharp and acetic finish, stinging the palate. Overall, this was OK.

Big thanks to starrdogg for sharing this bottle at last night's tasting. Served in a SAVOR wine glass.
Pours a nice reddish-pink color with an average-sized light pink head. Sparse and spotty lacing on the way down. The nose carries heavy raspberry with a bit of earth and funk, plus a touch of oak.
The flavor has a bit too much raspberry. It's really heavy there, which seems to be a common theme among raspberry wilds. There's simply too much acidity coming from the berries themselves, and the flavor overmatches almost everything else in the beer. With that said, there was a bit of funky earth in the background, though I'd say this would be much better with only half or two-thirds the amount of raspberries.
Light body with acidity and crisp carbonation. A bit too much fruit and acidity. Good beer; I especially enjoyed the nose.

750ml bottle. No bottle date but I bought it when it was released back in early/mid December 2011. This was the hardest cork and caged bottle I have every tried to open. Ended up having to use a corkscrew.
A- Grapefruit color. Small white head goes to ring around the edge of the glass. 3/5
S- Lemon and tart berries. 3/5
T- Lots of lemon flavors backed up by a small amount of berry and apple. Very tart. 2.5/5
M- Thin and very carbonated 2.5/5
O- Just ok. A little too sour for me at this point. Kinda one dimensional.
I would have liked the berries to have more of a presence. After about 10oz I wanted to be done with it and grab something else. Good thing I shared this with witchesbrew. She liked it a lot more than me. 2.5/5

2011 750mL poured into a tulip.
appearance - pink hue, champagne like carbonation, good lacing
smell - fruity notes of raspberry
taste - raspberry dominant with a touch of oak here and there, some tart/sour features as well
mouthfeel - high carbonation, medium body, dry finish
overall - a bit light on flavor but good, has a champagne type vibe going on, wouldn't really classify it as a wild ale since it's not a blast of sour but good overall

750ml bottle poured into a Bruery Tulip glass.
A - Pours a light pinkish-orange with a tan-pink head. Fizzy, but it fades quickly.
S - Acidic mostly, some raspberry does come through at the end.
T - A soft wheat raspberry mixture.
D - Tons of carbonation with a light body. Fairly mild and not overly sweet.
O - Overall nice tasting.

Thanks to Sideshowe for busting this out at a recent tasting.
Into the glass, Laurelwood Framboise pours a light amberish pink color with some skimpy thin bubbles up top, leading to nothing, no stick. Very still afterwards.
Smell is quite laden with raspberry scent, hay, oak, some underlining socks, and wet dog. A small mild sweetness from the malt or the wood(vanilla?)
Taste is slightly puckering with tart raspberry flavor and some defining oak. In the middle a bit of the malt from the base amber comes out giving off a sweetness. The funk comes afterwards leaning to an earthy fruity finish. A strange yet satisfying taste.
Feel is pretty light and tame and there is not much bubbles. Glides down smooth like kinda like juice after 20 minutes out of the bottle.
All in all a intereswting take on the style. A lot of raspberry flavor yet refined and not super sweet nor tart. A in between within the two.

Bottle shared by Grant – thanks!
Pours a hazy golden-amber color with pink highlights and a white head that leaves decent lacing.
Smells of medium malts with large amounts of slightly tart raspberries and milder amounts of funk. Also present are small amounts of oak and lighter amounts of floral hops.
Tastes better balanced than it smells. Mildly dry medium malts up front are joined quickly by bright and moderately tart raspberry flavors. Midway through the flavor profile dries up further with the addition of soft funk. Very light oak comes in near the end, carrying through to a mildly tart finish. Mouthfeel is good, with active carbonation.
Overall I really enjoyed this beer, a nice AWA from a brewery I hadn’t heard of previously. Well worth a shot.
