Stopped by during my Denver beer tour.
Not much vibe to the place, just a random square room with some tables about. No energy to the place at all.
Lots of Belgian styles / sourz / bbl-aged stuff on the menu. Bartender not very helpful with explanation of brewery and/or styles. Sensed quite a bit of attitude from her and was quite a Debbie downer. Seemed as if she'd rather be anywhere else except behind the bar serving customers.
Had a few beers (I think that were local, I didn't get much info) that weren't very good and deemed it time to move on to another place I'd actually enjoy. Prices are pretty high for the area, didn't see any specials/happy hours either.
If you're into obscure Belgian styles as a priority in your bar experience, I guess this is your place. Not so much for me.

We went to the Cheeky Monk on Colfax, Denver, Co. for dinner (03/02). The atmosphere was nice, clean restaurant, food was very good. It was not very crowded. About 4-5 tables had guests. The service was absolutely horrible. While our waitress was very sweet, she really needs to be in a different type of career. The table had no salt/pepper, no napkins or utensils prior to ordering. There were 4 in our group. It took forever for the food to come out. When it did, 3 of the 4 people got their food and not all of their order. Soup was missing. When she brought the soup out, she neglected to bring a spoon, so we had to wait again to get hers' or anybody's attention to get one. The fourth person ordered Fish & Chips. Somehow it either didn't get ordered or ? When it did finally come out, no appology, no discount, nothing. Also the salad did not have any dressing on it. So again we had to wait to get that. We did order an appetizer which she brought out with the main course. Even though the food was good, we won't be back and will share our experience with friends.

good belgian tap and bottle list, good food but the service sucks. waitied for like 30 mins when it was not even bussy and had to walk out.

Stopped by while in Denver because it was the only bar I could track down Pliny on tap. It was empty on a Sunday afternoon. I have to say I was pretty astonished by the price of some of the regular trappist beers, and unimpressed by the tap and bottle selection. The bartender was really friendly though, and it is a bright and pleasant place for a beer. On my way out there was a street brawl on Colfax with about 20 high schoolers (half fighting, half recording on their phones).
