Amber color with a thin head with short retention and leaving some laces.
Aroma with notes of orange marmalade, caramels, strong floral notes, lime and some twisted pine.
Flavor with bold floral notes, iced tea, mandarins, relatively spiced, butterscotch, drops of lime, overripe pineapples and if you bundle all together: lots of tutti-frutti. Dry aftertaste with a nice bitterness that it doesn’t feel as strong as the announced 75 IBUs.
Light body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 7.2% abv is very well disguised.
That was an interesting experience; this hop has showed a huge complexity and depth in flavor. It felt to me like a fruit salad with iced tea poured into it.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of March 2015. Purchased a while back from the Brewdog webshop. A single-hop IPA using Kohatu; a variety that I haven't previously heard of.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. A rich, hazy orange-amber hue with fine sediment and light carbonation. Yields a decent head of creamy white foam that lasts for a minute or two before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing.

S: Aroma of grassy, fruity hops with hints of mild citrus, floral notes, grass/hay, subtle spice, a twinge of white pepper, sweet caramel malt and earthy yeast. More subdued than expected.

T: Tastes of grassy hops with a dry, understated bitterness. Notes of mild citrus, vague white fruits, floral hints, grass/hay, noble hops, spice, subtle white pepper, caramel malt, earthy yeast and faint stewed hops. Very slightly sweet, followed by a restrained leafy bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with soft carbonation and decent body. Could be a shade thicker. Hop oils tantalise the palate. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of grassy, fruity hops, light bitterness and caramel malt.

O: A decent IPA if not mind-blowing. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are quite grassy along with mild fruitiness. Caramel malt underpins the hops and balances the dryness they bring. Body is OK. A lack of familiarity with this hop variety makes it harder to judge. Goes down alright but less intense than I anticipated. Worth trying if you come across it.

The colour is gold, the liquid is clear. The two finger head is off-white and compact. Some lacing occurs.

The smell got notes of toffee and mixed candy. Some plastic notes.

The taste is medium bitter with distinct notes of apricot candy. Butterscotch in the aftertaste.

The carbonation is medium strong, the long-lived bubbles mid-sized. The liquid is somewhat smooth.

A rather thin yet interesting IPA.

330ml bottle. Tasting Chalice glass. Deep gold color, clear appearance. Off-white froth, close crown. Aromas of pine, toasted biscuit, intense delicate citric & ripe fruit. Toasted malt & delicate citric flavor. Medium body. Very soft carbonation. Dense texture. Slightly buttery notes join moderate bitterness & linger into a long sweet/bitter finish. Long fruity aftertaste with hints of biscuit. Rounded & well balanced. As it warms, lima notes are shown.
