The colour is gold, the liquid is clear. The two finger head is off-white and compact. Some lacing occurs.

The smell ia somewhat raw with notes of resin and some bitterness. Apricots and apricot candy. It is dense and dusty.

The taste is fruity with some bitterness. Crayons, fresh flowers. It is a bit hard to grasp. Some salt in the aftertaste, the finish got motes of raw meat.

The carbonation is medium strong, the long-lived bubbles mid-sized. The liquid is somewhat smooth.

A rather thin yet interesting IPA.

Pours amber with a large white head.
Nose shwos resinous, grassy and piny hops with a heap of malt underneath hinting at cookie dough and fruit confectionery.
Similar flavours, focussing on grassy and piny hops followed by truckloads of sweet clean malt. Feels a bit too rich.
Carbonaiton could be a bit higher.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of March 2015. Acquired a while back from the Brewdog webshop. A single-hop IPA brewed with Comet.

A: Poured into a Duvel tulip. A bright, hazy orange-amber hue with fine sediment and medium carbonation. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a patchy surface layer. Some lacing.

S: Aroma of fruity, resinous hops with hints of pine, weed, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, mild tropical fruits, a touch of grass/hay, sweet caramel malt and earthy yeast. A warming whiff of booze in the background. Rather nice.

T: Tastes of intense aromatic hops with a powerful bitter finish. Notes of pine resin, dank weed, grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, subtle tropical fruits, grass/hay, sweet caramel malt, a hint of grain, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Slightly sweet, followed by a strident, resinous bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with soft carbonation and good body. Hop oils tantalise the palate. Somewhat astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of bitter aromatic hops, pine and sweet caramel malt.

O: Good stuff - a satisfyingly hoppy IPA. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are replete with notes of pine, citrus and caramel malt. Nice body. A vigorous IPA with good balance; goes down a treat. Well worth sampling if you come across it.

330ml bottle. Tasting Chalice glass. Golden brass color, clear appearance. Off-white foam creates a close, thick & lasting crown. Intense grapefruit & lemon zest aromas with mild toasted notes on the back. Citric upfront is quickly balanced by sweet malty flavors. Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Oily texture & citric bitterness. Hoppy flavor over solid malty backbone linger into a dry bitter finish. Long fruity aftertaste.

Amber orange color with a thick off-white head with good retention and leaving some laces.
Aroma with notes of passion fruit, oranges, apples, spices, caramels and biscuit malts.
Flavor with notes of oranges-grapefruit being as fresh as it can be, also perfume, spices, a bit of dank grass, mild resin, a pinch of salt, pineapple juice, some mango, biscuit malt and American yeast. Dry aftertaste with an elegant bitterness followed by a touch of toasted and smoked notes. As in the Kohatu, you don’t feel it as bitter as 75 IBUs.
Light towards medium smooth body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 7.2% abv is virtually absent.
A smooth operator IPA with hops flavor as the leading star and a controlled rounded bitterness. I found this pretty enjoyable.
