L: Jet black color, no head whatsoever, no lacing to speak of, no visible carbonation. Like thick engine oil.

S: Chocolate, coffee, alcohol. Heaven.

T: Chocolate, coffee, sweet, raisins, LOTS of alcohol. Wow, that is one dangerous beer!

F: Full bodied, full flavored. TONS of alcohol make this a slow sipper.

O: This is one hell of a heavy beer but tastes so damn good. Perfect for those cold winter days.

Head fades quickly, leaving a dark tan rim atop a cola-looking body.

Big notes of chocolate, roasted barley, a touch of coffee, and hints of chili sneaking through. Only the faintest hint of bourbon; the base beer is that strong - and that good.

Flavor follows, and is even more intense. There's the barrel; sweet bourbon, stout oak, alcohol heat, vanilla; tons of chocolate and roast; more chili than on the nose, although there's no real lingering heat.

A slow-sipping beer worth savoring; oily and moderately thick, it coats the mouth for a long, pleasant finish. Clearly big, but it drinks smoother than most 12% stouts; at 16%, it's damn near dangerously easy.

This may be one of the most impressive, rich, and smooth BBA stouts I've ever had.

Oxblood black, viscous, no head. 4
Coffee, cacao nibs, woodiness, some booze, and a hit of stinging heat. 4.25
Licorice-caramel chew, dark chocolate with chili, bourbon and cola, and a whack of barrel. 4
Bit of heat, medium, some chew. 4

Not quite Mexican hot chocolate. But mad nuanced: barrel plays nice, chili is buried, and chocolate is actually more cocoa. Next to Abstrakt 20, though, it never quites gels the same. Not bad, but not the best in class. 4

Tan head. Black color.

The coffee shows nicely with some roast. Strong barrel presence. Oaky. Vanilla and cocao. Some sweetness. Big whiskey notes.

Full bodied. Warming. Smooth. Silky.

My only complaint is that the peppers are non existent. Very nice otherwise. Not too boozy for 16+%
