L: Dark red/brown color, no head whatsoever, no lacing either, minimal carbonation.

S: Oak, oak, oak. Superb!

T: Oak, raisins, alcohol. So smooth and silky, yet so complex. Just wow.

F: Smooth as silk, full bodied, so much flavor!

O: One of the best beers I have ever tasted. Like in the top 5. World class.

A gift from my wife & stored in my cellar for the last year and a half. It was far better than I expected, been the most power full beer I've had in my collection. It pours a dark red black colour with no head. Aromas of bourbon, rum, wood & roasted malt. Tastes of caramel, plum, bourbon, rum, licorice, wood & roasted malt. Aftertaste is of a mild bitterness with plum & rum. Excellent interesting Saison from Brewdog

375ml bottle (£10 from Brewdog online shop):
Rich & sweet beer with tonnes of complexity to it, I particularly enjoyed darker fruits & vanilla flavours combining with the subtle funk & tart of the beer. There was some boozy rum that at times was a little strong & warming but nothing more than was expected give the strength & it was definitely an excellent beer to sip away at. Overall this one was a really nice offering from Brewdog & one that grew on me more as I worked my way down the glass, it's easily one of the best saison's I've tried too.

Big, big, big!

Dark purplish brown, nearly black. Huge aroma: smells like a roasty wild ale. Drinks like a huge malty Scotch ale: roasted malts, plums and raisins, cocoa, a touch of wine. Incredibly smooth.

Had this beer on tap at the Brewdog pub in Brussels. It is described as a dark saison aged on rum and bourbon barrels for 2 years.

Looks: beer pours a dark Rick amber. If you look at it thin enough it looks red but in a full glass could be confused for a stout. The slight head from the pour disipated quickly.

Smell: dominant aromas are of bubble gum, rum and yeast. The strength of the bubble gum side almost lost me.

Taste: oh good god this is where this beer shines, light chocolate on the front of the tounge that transitions to raisins, and finally leaves you with a light sourness to keep it from being cloying.

Mouthfeel: light carbonation and full body make this a pleasure to drink.

Overall: this is a very different beer that works really well the use of the sourness from the saison yeast to cut the sweetness us what really males this stand out. We'll worth trying if you have the opertunity.
