Pours hazy bronze with a chunky head that quickly dissipates to a dish soap cap. Red grapefruit, lemons and caramel, toasty malts in the nose. Grapefruit rind, apricot and field berries mix with doughy, sweet malts in the taste. The mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Medium bitterness and more fresh red grapefruit notes in the long finish.

This is a nice IPA. Great malt profile and very balanced. The grapefruit addition is clear too. Worth a try.

Not overly sweet, but not hoppy enough to be an IPA, yet, deliciously yummy and juicy. Enjoyed at Pies and Pints, 2019, on the way home from our Myrtle Beach trip with Boe and Beth.

Pretty clear pour with a fast disappearing head. Well you know it's a grapefruit beer immediately upon sticking you nose in the glass. Some other tropical fruit in evidence too. Citrusy palate notes like lemon & lime to compliment the grapefruit. Quite crisp as well. Finished fairly clean.

I’ve had this beer on tap before, and I can say it’s much better than in the can, which I’ve heard that from numerous people before. But for this matter, can poured into standard pint glass. Hazy amber/orange color. Smells strong of grapefruit notes, smells very sugary as well. Tastes of grapefruit notes, however, not strong. mouthfeel is light. Like I’ve said, I enjoyed this beer a lot more off the tap, but I bought a 6 pack of cans for $10.99. Great for the summer/fall season. I’ll buy again in the future.

Can into plastic cup (hey, it was a company picnic). Pours a hazy orange with a huge fluffy off-white head. Initial impression is grapefruit, with maybe some pineapple and/or orange in the background. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Finish is smooth and clean. Kind of one-dimensional, with an overwhelming grapefruit presence.

Had this beer on tap at Ron's Schoolhouse Grill in Exton PA. Had a taster first and was impressed since I have never had a Scottish IPA before. The glass came with about 1/2" of head moderately clear, orange/yellow in color. The first nose was a significant bouquet of orange for me. The taste was pleasant with lots of orange and moderately bitter hops. Aftertaste had lots of bitter citrus/grapefruit though not overpowering for me. I liked the end of the glass as much as the first sip and I rank it as a very nice IPA but not in the top tier category form me. Would buy a sixpack to enjoy occasionally between other beers.

Had on tap at OO. Old school dank on National IPA Day. The addition of grapefruit peel makes it very citrus/grapefruit forward, but also adds another level of bitterness. Nice IPA.

Pours an effervescent amber with 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Stellar head retention and lacing

S: Tons of grapefruit

T: Grapefruit, slight breadyness and dryness up front . Dryness and grapefruit as this warms. Finishes dry and grapefruitty

MF: Medium body, firm carbonation

Drinkable, but one dimensional

Big fluffy head with tight, compact bubbles on bottom, getting steadily larger toward the top. Smells, of course, of grapefruit and artificial-orange flavored candy. Taste follows. Finishes bitter and a bit flat.

Appearance: Pours a deep orange, almost copper color that is hazy. Mild head that fades.
Aroma: Strong aromas of grapefruit predominate. Some blood orange and red grapes flavors too.
Taste: Taste follows the nose. Strong flavors of grapefruit and blood orange. Possibly some pineapple and grape underneath. Pine bitterness. A deeper caramel malt backbone behind all the grapefruit.
Feel: Medium bodied. Moderately-carbonated. A nice grapefruit bitterness, but not too strong as it finishes surprisingly subtly sweet overall.

Overall: A very delicious IPA. Grapefruit all the way here, but bitterness it attenuated into a nice smooth and subtly sweet IPA.

A pretty decent grapefruit beer. Better than most. Hazy copper. You can smell the grapefruit. Really nice grapefruit flavor. Doesn't taste artificial. There could be a better hops presence. It's not very prominent. Very smooth. Thank ya...thank ya very much.

On tap. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of grapefruit, orange peel and toasted caramel. Sweet and tart grapefruit with a toasted caramel backbone.

Had on tap. Look was not hazy as the description indicated, but a golden color. Taste was extremely grapefruit, and I mean very grapefruit. Overall it was very good but must be in the mood for a grapefruit ipa.

Definitely deserves a rating >4, it’s a great balance between hoppy and fruity, with a very original aftertaste. I bought 2 cases after finishing one. Just became available in NJ. Very atypical!

Pleasantly drinkable with bitter grapefruit taste upfront and delicious malts on the finish. I can see how some people rave about this beer and others dislike it. Overall I’m glad I gave it a try.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a custom taster pint; code 8 07 10 A 3 BB, guessing this is July 10 or Oct 7, 2018.
A: Pours a slightly hazy, amber color with orange highlights, a one to two inch, white head, decent retention, but lots of rings of sticky lacing.
S: Aroma of white grapefruit is front and center, along with caramel and orange zest.
T: Semidry. Interesting how fruitiness mimics sweetness without actually being sweet. Flavors derived entirely from nose. Fairly light bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with gorgeous, champagne-size bubble effervescence.
O: Since this is "grapefruit infused," it would seem to be more a "fruit beer" than an IPA, but it is enjoyable nonetheless. More of a shandy or punch, really. That said, quite drinkable and enjoyable, although not terribly complex. Question to the manufacturer: Why put in all the fancy hops, if the grapefruit rind is already accomplishing the job?

I poured the 330ml bottle at 6,5% pretty aggressively only to get a thin, 1inch head.

Look: Amber, opaque.

Smells: grapefruit, orange and peach. Lots of fruits in this brew. Taste should be just as interesting.

Taste: the label reads « a cocktail of fruits and flavors ». It’s true. It even pretend to have more fruits than the state of CA. Marketing marketing.

Overall: this is a very good offering and probably the best Brewdog beer I have ever had. Brewdog is a bit controversial in the UK. This American IPA hit the spot and no doubt should be on the shelves in North America too. Buy it safely!

The can doesn’t lie - this is most definitely a grapefruit infused IPA, perhaps to its own detriment just a bit because the grapefruit is overwhelming - and I absolutely LOVE grapefruit. But this has so much grapefruit, it’s difficult to determine where the grapefruit ends and the impressive hop bill begins.

The Mal presence is really nice, but if the grapefruit had just been dialed back a bit, this would be significantly better, IMHO.

Brewdogs has knocked it out of the park with Elvis Juice. It has a plesent color in the medium range as to be expected from a citrus infused ipa.
The hops meld together flawlessly with out overwhelming the pallet. The Smell is of an intense pungent grapefruit. Absolutely must have.

Really gross - tasted like an amber ale with artificial berry juice. Total drain pour. Did not resemble an ipa in any respect.

Third of a litre at the Craft Beer Kontor.
A: Amber, clear, small head which didn't hang around very long.

S: Grapefruit was the predominant aroma.

T: Grapefruit zest and lime, bittersweet reminiscent of a 90's alcopop.

M: Medium body, moderately carbonated.

O: Brewed with the zest of oranges and grapefruits, wasn't bad, but at times I wondered if it was beer or an alcopop. Memorable, but not necessarily one I'll revisit.

Pours a clear maize color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong grapefruit, slight sweet malt, hint of alcohol, and a hint of citrus hops. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with a high carbonation level. There is only a slight bitterness. Tastes of strong grapefruit, slight sweet malt, hint of alcohol, hint of tea, and a hint of citrus hops. Overall, good appearance, but too carbonated and blend is all grapefruit.

Elvis has NOT left the building! This ipa is copper in color. White head, but no lacing. Nose let’s you know it has grapefruit. Taste isn’t as heavy as I expected on the grapefruit. What I didn’t like was the finish. Seemed to have a white pepper/dry finish. Great beer
