Pours a clear maize color. 1/3 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong grapefruit, slight sweet malt, hint of alcohol, and a hint of citrus hops. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with a high carbonation level. There is only a slight bitterness. Tastes of strong grapefruit, slight sweet malt, hint of alcohol, hint of tea, and a hint of citrus hops. Overall, good appearance, but too carbonated and blend is all grapefruit.

Elvis has NOT left the building! This ipa is copper in color. White head, but no lacing. Nose let’s you know it has grapefruit. Taste isn’t as heavy as I expected on the grapefruit. What I didn’t like was the finish. Seemed to have a white pepper/dry finish. Great beer

Lots of citrus as advertised, especially the grapefruit. Wouldn't go as far to call it juice, maybe a grapefruit cough drop, with the hop mixture of bitters and pine being that medicinal bitter finish. Just go with it. Anyways, has some decent breadiness, and for a single ipa descent hop spice. Found myself really enjoying this on the porch this summer

The smell is fresh cut grapefruit, not artificial at all to me. So good I take a big wiff before each sip. Very refreshing, not overly bitter. I will buy more of this and hope it’s a year round offering.

12 oz can traded from superspak, poured into GI nonic pint. Can date 7/6/18.

Nice and gorgeous sparkling amber color with a great deal of clarity. It's something to be envious of, at least when you're not going for a haze craze beer. Head likewise is very prominent, butter colored, 2 fingers strong, and leaves lots of lace up the sides of the glass.

Man, that grapefruit! Tons of pink stuff! Acidity, almost like a grapefruit spritzer. Smells like straight grapefruit juice.

Flavor is juicy and refreshing. It's not bitter grapefruit, it's more of the juicy flesh, and I love that. (I was expecting a rind-y bomb but that is so far removed from this beer) Nice good pink grapefruit presence, slight other citrus but the main focus is pink and white grapefruits. Acidity and light sweetness are all there to tie up the package. Light malt presence in the form of biscuit and caramel.

Feel is creamy, slightly empty, with a tall acidity. CO2 burn is about right, and the finish is slightly drying but only very faintly resinous.

Overall, a really really good beer if you're looking for grapefruit. Hardly bitter at all. Really nice natural fleshy, juicy grapefruit. Sculpin, move aside. Go on, shoo.

330ml can - I passed on an expensive draft serving of this a while back. A sagacious decision, in retrospect.

This beer pours a clear, medium copper amber colour, with four fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat bubbly off-white head, which leaves some decent flock of seagulls pattern lace around the glass as it genially recedes.

It smells of ruby red grapefruit flesh, bready and doughy caramel malt, further indistinct citrus rind, and some tame leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy cereal malt, muted domestic grapefruit and orange juice, some damp minerality, and more understated earthy, herbal, and resinous piney hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly low-key in its innocuous-seeming frothiness, the body a solid middleweight, and generally smooth, with a thin airy creaminess evolving as things warm up a bit around here. It finishes off-dry, the malt and muddled frooty essences locked in a lingering tango.

Overall - this comes across as a pleasantly rendered version of the style, with the proclaimed grapefruit thing definitely front-end loaded. Still, full of flavour, and enjoyable on a fresh late summer day (ah, who am I kidding - school started today, so fall it is).
