Collaboration with Cloudwater Brew Co.
A second team up with Cloudwater sees us brewing an 8.5% ABV New England IPA, hopped with a blend of hops known for their citrus, tropical and berry characteristics.
Spicy, zesty and piney aromas give way to an effervescent, tropical IPA, backed up with hints of clove and pepper.
Hopped in the whirlpool with Mosaic hops, and dry-hopped with Citra, Mandarina Bavaria and more Mosaic.

Hazy glowing peach with loose foam. 4
A ton of apricot and tangerine. 4.25
Cream of Wheat, hit of peach fizz, herb, more tangerine, hint of mint, and orange zest. 4.25
Slightest evergreen as it opens.
Soft, round, light. 4
Orchard fruit in a lovely frothy sherbert package. Never hints at 8.5%. Ticks the Vermont boxes. No dank, and not super bright (right around its 8 week BBD) but as good a benchmark as any. 4.25

Bomber poured into Teku glass and shared with friends.
A very very good beer. Bright orange haze, large fluffy head and tonnes of floaters. Smells and tastes magnificent; the full gamut of citrus and tropical fruits are on offer here. Soft, easy drinking mouthfeel. Overall, a superb collab. Cheers!

A 660ml bottle with a BB of Aug 2017. Purchased from the Brewdog webshop - arrived today! A collaborative brew between Brewdog and Cloudwater, resulting in a super hoppy New England IPA (their second take).
A: Poured into an IPA glass. Bottle conditioned. A rich golden-amber hue with tons of hazy sediment and plentiful carbonation. Yields a vast head of fluffy white foam that slowly reduces to a persistent surface layer.
S: Aroma of incredibly fruity hops with notes of bright citrus, peel, mango, pineapple, tropical fruit, mild stone fruit, earthy yeast, caramel malt and just a whiff of booze. Juicy and intense - awesome.
T: Tastes of overwhelmingly fruity hops with notes of grapefruit, citrus, peel, mango, tropical fruit, stone fruit, a hint of melon, earthy yeast, caramel malt and a touch of alcohol in the background. A severe hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing. Amazing.
M: Mouthfeel is tingly and dry, with prickly carbonation and good body. Hop oils obliterate the palate. Aftertaste of exceptional hop bitterness, citrus, tropical notes, earthy yeast and caramel malt.
O: Superb - a hop tsunami that overpowers the palate. All is hops. It looks great (if a tad clear for the style), while the aroma and flavour are given over to fruity hops. Yeast and malt shrink into the background. Good body. Fantastic brew - perhaps the only flaw is a slight raw quality to the hop character. A hop-head's dream; try this beer if you have the chance.

Hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma has ripe apricots and grassy hops. Taste starts with sweet stonefruits, continues with herbal, grassy hops, light bitterness on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice, easy drinking for a DIPA, hazy and juicy.

Half pint on-tap at DogHouse, Glasgow (£4.28):
Very nice stuff again from Brewdog here & ordinarily this would be a beer that I would have loved but given it's a reworking of the best beer I've ever tried from the brewery the bar is naturally set a little higher for this one. The beer open with a pleasant citrus taste that was backed up by some pineapple & the odd tropical flavour, the balance was good too & surprisingly little of the alcohol content was showing so the beer was easy-going & highly drinkable. The main disappointment for me was the fact that the beer was a lot lighter than expected, the nose in particular coming through weaker than expected & overall the original version of this beer was much better in my opinion.
