375ml Bottle from Brewedg.com (£6.65):
A surprisingly clear caramel brown with a thin, bubbly lacing that's beige & patchy on the surface with a few bubbles showing too. The body is fairly bubbly too, with some visible carbonation & it's definitely sweet & sugary on the nose with a lot of dates & caramel initially. The nose seems rich with raisins, lots of prunes & some moderate alcohol notes sitting in the background too. The taste is similar with a lot of sweetness from some darker malts, caramel & sugars with the prunes & dates featuring heavily too. It's a little lighter than expected but it is a couple of years old, although it's held up very well thankfully.
