Good mix of cold brewed tasty coffee and a brown sugar that adds a spice and longevity to make this a hybrid barleywine. Unique and most drinkable.

Shared 375 ml waxed bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. Black colour, small beige head. Nice roasty and malty aroma and flavour hints of chocolate and mild coffee. Nice beer, easy drinking for its strength.

375ml bottle from Brewdog.com (£6.65):
Dark ruby to black, opaque with a 0.5cm head that's foamy & light brown. Strong & sweet on the nose, lots of sugars, coffee bitterness & darker fruits; mainly cherries with some alcohol too. Not an overpowering taste, balanced well with coffee, dark fruits & less sugar than the nose plus faint chocolate at the end. It's full-bodied, rich & lightly carbonated but goes down really well.

Bottle: Poured a light black color porter with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light roasted malt with some chocolate notes and residual sugar notes. Taste is a mix of residual sugar with some light caramelized notes with some chocolate notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Enjoyable but lacking some body and some depth for the style.
