Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.60%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Welcome to a post Punk apocalyptic mother of an ale.

A beer that spent its formative years Blitzkrieg Bopping around India and the sub-continent.

This light, golden classic has been subverted with new world hops to create a devastating explosion of flavour. Steel yourself for Kalashnikov bursts of caramel, incendiary tropical fruit and an all-out riot of grapefruit, pineapple and lychee, before a spiky bitter finish.

This is quintessential Empire with an anarchic twist. Turn up the volume. Pay the man. Embrace the punked up, pimped up Maharajah of Pale Ales.

Nothing will ever be the same again.

Pours a lazy golden orange and leaves the same colored body with a one finger white foamy head that rises a bit but then allows some leverage to level at a nice pace; moderate sticky lacing clings to the glass; the aroma has sweet citrus up front, some light malts enter in the background; the flavoring is sticky sweet and leaves a citrusy residue all around, sweet citrusy aftertaste, dry finish; its mostly easy on the palate, somewhat sessionable, carbonation - what carbonation - there is nothing smoother than this AIPA - no where close to the normal harshness of an AIPA, but honestly not bad, like I already said just plain weird to me; overall I like it for the most part - it just seems fairly different than most AIPA’s.

A decent beer for those who like it hoppy and citrusy.

From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter via a friend from England---Cheers Keith and THANKS!
This nice IPA pours a clear golden color with a nice head of white dissipating foam that
subsides to a thick ring, thin light layer, and displays light lacing. Nose of tropical fruits
of pineapple and pink grapefruit with piney hops bringing up the rear with light caramel malts
that are barely detectable. Flavors subtly exceed the nose with subtle honey and caramel malts
that are beaten into submission by pineapple and pink grapefruit notes with a subtle white pepper
and pine laden hops. Medium light mouth feel, medium light carbonation, and a bitter pine and tropical
fruit finish.

Overall, a solid little ale.

Cheers

Draft pour at the taproom

It is a clear, very dark gold. Almost copper. Substantial, long lasting thick light tan head.

It smells super fruity. Tons of passion fruit. Some citra like earthiness to it with a light malt backbone.

It pretty much tastes like it smells. Very, very fruity. Pretty unique really. A bunch of passion fruit, pink grapefruit, orange/tangerine, and some sort of berry. Almost slightly sour strawberry like. The hops are very subtle. The bitterness is light, but consistent.

Body is on the lighter side and it has a crisp finish.

An insanely crushable beer
