look: 3.25 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 3 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 3.25
L3.25 Classic clear light gold IPA, head rapidly disappers leaving a circular white rim
S4.25 Good nose, typical punk although less than expecting bearing in mind ABV.
T3 Humm, overpoweringly strong but without the increased hop character of other double IPAs (Sixpoint etc)
F4.25 good as per BD standard
O3.25 Feels like they have just brewed a stronger punk IPA, without adjusting the hop inclusions sufficiently. Not great.

Canned pineapple n a big old 440ml tallboy and poured into a English dimpled handled pint pot to reavesl a crystal clear golden body with massive thick foaming white head
Aroma is candy grapefruit
Flavour is resinous, highly hoped but stops just shy of menthol

Can. Golden barley colour. Dense frothy head which resides as a scummy layer.
Citrus on the nose. Mainly grapefruit with some meadow grass and light malt.
Tastes as per aroma if somewhat earthy. Alcohol noticeable. Decent bitter bite to finish.
Boozy feel.
Heavy metal punk.

440ml Can from Tesco, Glasgow (£3.50):
A surprisingly clear amber with a 0.5cm, bubbly white head that just about covers the surface before eventually turning slightly patchy. It's somewhat subdued on the nose too, there's pine & citrus notes with some grapefruit & hop oils with a tiny bit of alcohol & some tropical notes to finish. It's stronger tasting with more pine & grapefruit upfront then some boozy touches that's coupled with citrus, some faint pineapple & a few resin hops thrown in for good measure. It's a pleasantly strong beer with a lot of hop bitterness, strong carbonation & a boozy finish but it wasn't quite what I'd expected & definitely didn't remind me much of the original Punk IPA save for the name & can design.
