Batch 195.

The colour is yellow; the liquid a bit cloudy. The two finger head is compact and off-white. Some lacing occurs.

The smell is very hoppy with notes of bitter fruits, flowers and metallic hints, a light sweet note, some yeast and dough.

The taste is bitter and crispy with flowery/fruity notes. The body and sweetness is low. Some metallic notes and a hint of lemon acid. The aftertaste got metallic bitter flavours and hints of green apples. Some hints of banana peels and bitter oranges in the aftertaste.

The carbonation is strong; the bubbles are small. The liquid is light.

A bit too unbalanced, too much bitter hops and not enough malts in this one.

Picked up at the grocery store in Lund, Sweden.

Pours w/ a faint/short white head over a clear dark yellow body, with plenty of carbonation.

Aromas were of grass, corn chowder, butter, and considerable sweetness as it warmed.

Mouthfeel was tight and dry. Very nice. Flavors were also grassy and floral, with a fairly sharp bitter bite.

Pretty nice summer beer. Crisp, bright and light.

BrewDog Trashy Blonde, ABV: 3.4%.
330 ml bottle, 14.90 SEK at Coop Extra (Linköping).

It's been almost a year since I had the bigger sister, and at the time I found it unbalanced and too hoppy for my liking, but let's see how the little sister behaves!

A: The beer pours cloudy, yellow, and slightly orange, and it gives a lovely, foamy white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Beautiful.

S: Bitter aromas of hops, citrus and apples are mixed with sweet tropical fruits like mango, or apricots. This is very pleasing on the nose.

T: A fruity, zesty, hoppy bitterness hits the mouth straight away. Here are also hints of oranges and rye bread. The hops are perhaps a little bit too dominant.

M: The body isn't as light as expected, but it doesn't really meet up with the strong, bitter flavours. In the end it leaves the mouth dry, but not unsatisfied.

O: I'm really surprised, in a positive way - although unbalanced, it's not by any mean as bad as I was afraid of. This is actually a quite enjoyable beer, given the occasion - a tasty "folköl" for just hanging out with friends. Still it's almost as expensive as the 4.1% version at Systembolaget. I'll just leave it with that.

The beer is clear golden, with a good white head leaving loads of lacing.

The smell is fresh, grassy and hoppy, some bread nuances, fresh breakfast bun, a lemon curd note as well.

The taste has little sweetness, some grains, and a citric bitterness that is predominant.

Medium carbonation, the fluid is thin and watery, a very dry finish.

A good attempt to make a low alcohol level that has taste. The limit 3,4% ABV is to make it sell-able in grocery stores in Sweden (and could actually be 3,5% ABV). However to reach that low level it seems like too little malt was used to balance the taste.
