Weighing in at 5.2% ABV, Alice Porter hides a huge complexity behind her modest strength. Roasty and smooth with fruity, rich coffee character. Alice Porter takes a sudden twist in an unexpected direction; a blend of hops that add a light, balancing citrusy twist and a subtle spiciness. Alice Porter is the first of our 2105 seasonal brews.

Nice cheeky porter. Rich colour and smell. Not as coffee as many similar beers which is a good thing in my opinion. has a slightly novel vibe to it but the quality ans taste makes up for this. nice wee darky.

Dark brown and ruby tinged, this beauty is topped with a finger of rusty brown head.
Smells of chocolate, rust, chocolate mousse, and snow.
Chocolate, tar, tobacco, rust. Very little bitterness. Any citrusy hops I only found after reading the suggestion. Yes, they are there if you aerate it like wine.
Thin body, moderate carbonation.
Feels like a light and easy drinking porter. Got from Bangkok, drank in Chiang Mai January 27th, 2016.

Not as faddy as previous beers I have tried. Loved the aroma of coffee and resiny hops. The initial taste is of a classic porter but the toastiness gradually gets overtaken by a welcoming hop kick. Not really a porter? Who are we to dictate?
