Formerly Dead Pony Club and Dead Pony

This Californian Pale Ale packs a huge hoppy punch. A 21st century low amplitude, high voltage hop hit. Some people say slow is good. We believe fast is better. Being shot from a Hoppy Howitzer beats the hell out of trotting round a submissive paddock. That's why the internal combustion engine got mounted onto two wheels. Screw down the throttle and listen for that dull banshee howl floating back from those malted mufflers. Drink fast, live fast, sleep late and rip it up down empty streets. This pale ale is chopped, tuned and ready to roll. Fuel up and hold tight, this little thoroughbred kicks like a mule. Perfect for drinking by the bottle, case or even keg.

Good amber colour, quite thin head bur firm and a good thickness, also foamy.
It won't fade away after a few sips.

The nose is really marvelous! A true smell of fresh pineapples are there, very fruity with a linger of sweet spices and tropical fruits. I really want quickly a taste of this great BrewDog beer.

Nice, delicate, smooth and a touch of bitterness of the good roasty hops. Not so fruity as the smell. It gives a quite long aftertaste of still that smoothiness.

Very good beer and very drinkable, good cold, and a perfect alcohol of 3,8%.

Some hops enjoyed, but watery which may be the fault of age plus served way too cold. This place stays above 30 degrees at night. Some refreshment. Bottle Dubai Airport.

11.2oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of caramel, toffee, citrus and a little touch of pine. Sweet caramel and toffee taste with a mild citrus, bitterness.

From the Boozebud 2022 Advent Calendar, day 13.

L: It's dark, golden, orangey, and honey-coloured in the glass with a finger-high head of bright white froth and lacing down the glass. Lots of carbonation races up the glass.

S: There are aromas of bread and rich, umami malt, with an earthy hop character. Very nice.

T: Taste is juicy, chewy and tangy caramel malts, with a very earthy, almost dirty, hop presence. The finish is sweet and fruity. It's extremely moreish and exceptionally good for a low-alcohol brew.

M: The only slight rub is there's more carbonic bite than expected, and it's not as though the beer is so sweet that it needs it to cut through at the end.

O: As noted, this is exceptionally good for a session beer. Most beers of this ilk go for a tropical fruit basket and haze to add body, but this tastes like an old-school English ale that's had a little bit of tropical fruit added. The body is full and feels like it's from a much bigger beer. Overall, this is really good.

Cheers!

De color ámbar, con una espuma de buena retención. De cuerpo medio, textura cremosa y carbonatación media/alta. Aroma afrutado y lupulado. Sabor agridulce, con un ligero amargor en el final.

330 ml bottle, from MENY Stadionparken. ABV is 3.8%. Deep golden to brown colour, slightly hazy. Large white head. Strong aroma of American hops fruity (grapefruit, pineapple) and piney notes. Relatively light bodied, but not too bad for a 3.8% beer. Packed full of hop flavour - quite dry, but loads of grapefruity and piney hops throughout. Not too bitter though. Quite impressive for a beer of this ABV.
