Pours gold with a very small white head.
Nose is massively skunky. Underneath is... nothing.
Flavours show sweet vegetal notes at first before transitioning to cardboard characters. No bitterness.
Carbonation is a bit over the top, body is watery.
I'm somewhat confused as to why Burleigh brewed this?

Poured from bottle into the glass.

Not of good beer. Claims to be be a no carb beer, better described as a no taste beer.

Almost clear in appearence. And lacked any sort of smell.

Given the lack of colour and smell it was not surprising that it lacked a certian amount of taste. It wasn't an offensive taste, it just didn't taste of anything. It was refreshing I give it that, and if it was really, really hot, it would be a plesant drinking experience, but if you actually want your beer to taste like beer, I'd give it a miss.

It seemed to have gone after the gimmick (nop carbs) rather than trying to produce a flavoursome beer. It's a shame as I hear the rest of the Burleigh range is okay.

@tobeerornottobe said "Do you have a lighter beer?" Oh yes, I sure do...

Pours very clear and very light, with minimal body and a filmy, pure white head. Lacing is relatively persistent and leaves a pleasant frothy pattern down the inside of the glass. No, it's not a brilliant looking beer, but it's very decent for the style.

Nose is crisp and adjuncty, with a note of corn or DMS, and a slightly sharper I-almost-want-to-call-it-hoppiness. But then it sinks back to sweet corn syrup and light vomitous astringency. No, not for me.

Taste is almost devoid of character, even feeling—it's as though this beer disappears as soon as you put it in your mouth. Very thin and only leaving a hint of that corn because it has to. Really reminiscent of a wet tortilla. Appalling.

Really horrible beer., of the kind that makes you scream out in disgust as to why it was ever brewed. No carb beer? It should be illegal.

This beer is a no carb beer. It is very weak in colour, reminding me of your standard American beer rather than an Australian beer. However the taste is not totally watery. I would still rather drink this than Budweiser!

Bottle: has a child with an enormous head on it. Enough said.

Appearance: considering this is a 'no-carb' beer, not too bad. That said, it looks a bit weak and flat, with a bubbling head that dissipates too quickly.

Aroma: very little in the way of aroma. What vague whiff is apparent is standard grains. Quite dull.

Taste: I don't really see the point of beers like this. Breweries have to understand that if a beer has almost no flavour, the only flavour that will come through is an awful, skunky off-metal grain. Mighty unimpressive.

Aftertaste: disappears quickly, thank God. Still, that's half the problem - there isn't that much flavour to begin with.

Mouth feel: thin and watery, with limited carbonation. Just keeps getting better...

Overall: a pointless and hatefully awful beer from a brewer that ought to know better. With their range of fantastic beers, this is a truly awful deviation from the norm. Add to that the fact that it is the price of standard full-strength, it is actually quite insulting. If you want a beer, buy one. If you really want a decent boutique light, get a Rogers Beer. If you just want a reasonable light lager, go for your standard macro White Stag, XXXX Gold, Cascade Light, etc. I can assure you they are much, much better value, and taste a whole lot better. Rant over.

Australia's first NO-carb ok.

A- Golden and clear, medium head which dissipates quickly leaving little to no lacing.

S- Very little of any aroma, some malt sweetness and very light fruity hop aroma. Very light

T- Light sweetness, simple grain bill is obvious. Little to no malt character. Some Dyacetyl. Very light bitterness. A slight hop flavour of apple skin. Overall very bland

M- Low carbonation, doesnt help things. Thin and watery body. Quite smooth is the only positive, it doesnt seem to show as many of the tinny, chemical, artificial and over filtered feeling you get with a macro beer.

D- a pretty disappointing beer. I can see why they would want to get on the bandwagon with the whole (frankly usless) low carb influx but its disappointing to see it coming from a microbrewery. I know its low carb so not to expect much but... why bother?

From bottle, Clear pale gold, no head and flat looking. Aroma mixes wet cardboard with grainy malt. Light body and lightly fizzy. Worth a try on a hot day.
