Presentation: 1 pint can, served in a Samuel Adams pint glass.
Appearance: It's pure black, no light shines through. It develops a tan colored, two finger head and leaves no lacing.
Smell: It smells mainly of dark roasted malt with some notes of fresh ground coffee.
Taste: It tastes great! There's notes of dark chocolate, dark roast coffee and the right amount of malt sweetness to tie it all together.
Mouthfeel: It's smooth, creamy and medium bodied; albeit a bit on the light side.
Overall: A good beer, but there's nothing groundbreaking or exceptional about it. Fans of the style will appreciate it but it doesn't have much to offer beyond that.

This beer has a nice pour with a decent amount of head. The smell is good but not overwhelming. It tastes smooth with a hint of chocolate but not overly sweet like some chocolate porters. If you like porters you should definitely give this one a try.

12oz can, drink by 08/19/17
A - cola colored ale with a frothy tan head
S - brown sugar, caramel, toffee, herbal hops, chocolate
T - notes of chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar, toffee, and caramel along with herbal, earthy hops
M - medium body, very creamy, finishes modestly bitter
O - good porter here. I couldn't help but reminisce about Tallgrass Buffalo Sweat while drinking this. There are some similarities between the two - maybe it's the house ale yeast. Either way, I would drink this again, but probably wouldn't seek it out or go oit of my way to find it.

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Very dark brown with a nice beige head and good lacing. Smells of dark toast. The taste starts with a slightly sweet cherry, toasted malt and caramel and end with a bit of bitter dark chocolate. A really nice Porter!

Pours near black. Thick, short, light brown head that lasts a while fading to a ring.
Smells roasted malt, light dark chocolate and dark fruit.
Tastes roasted, Caramel malt, lightly dark chocolate and fruit. Followed by a touch of coffee and roast. finish is dry with a light earthy bitterness. Lighter medium body and fizzy medium carbonation.
I don't know where robust Porter comes from. This is a very average Porter.
