Pours a pale and hazy light gold with a white head. There are a few ribbons of lacing left behind. The nose is mainly pineapple to me but I also feel like there is mango and honey present. There is a nice sweetness detected and a touch of piney hops. The taste is sweet with a lot of mango and pineapple but the bitter piney finish balances the sweetness nicely. This beer has a mouthfeel that is close to medium and a little bit of carbonation. This is a really well made and uniquely flavored DIPA. I really like it and would drink it again if I ever came across another can.

Look: cloudy dark amber with small, quickly dissipating sticky white head
Smell: Bready malts and earth hops, not a lot going on
Taste: little more depth than the nose but still lackluster
Mouthfeel: Smooth dry yet watery
Overall: meh, it was okay but was expecting a little more from a DIPA

Poured 16oz can into snifter.
A - Pours a light hazy orange with a huge creamy one 3 finger tall white head. Fades into a cap and leaves behind a good amount of lacing on glass.
S - Smells of floral and citrus hops, light grapefruit and passion fruit with a hint of bready malt, slightly green.
T - First sip gives a light bitterness and then hints of grapefruits, passion fruit, caramel malt and some light breadiness. Finish is a mix of hop bitterness and a touch of sweetness, lingering for some time after consumption.
M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Smooth, hoppy feel that lingers on the pallet long after each sip.
O - Solid take on a beefed up 8-bit. Not too different.

Drink by 10/9/15.
Appearance: Pale golden with great clarity. One finger of off-white foam.
Aroma: Bready/biscuit malt with some spice and a bit of fruit coming through. I was hoping for a bigger hop presence.
Taste: Not what I was expecting in the hop department but not disappointing otherwise. Great malt base of bready/grainy notes with a peppery/spicy hop character that pairs well to bring an English pale ale feel to the flavor. In the finish there is a subtle hint of melon/grapefruit that would really elevate the flavor if it was more prominent. Nice depth of flavor and a solid bitterness that is just right to bring it all together. Aftertaste of ebbing bitterness with a hint of something soapy that may be evidence of cascade hops, so I won't count it as an off-flavor. The malt flavor really holds up well, making this feel larger than its moderate 6.2% ABV.
Mouthfeel: Medium in body with just the right combination of carbonation, drinkability, and overall feel to elevate the experience.
Final Thoughts: I went in with high expectations, I always enjoyed 8-Bit's combination of spicy bitterness and melon hop character, but 16-Bit is a bit more English in it's hop character than I was expecting. Still, it's won me over on it's great flavor and all around merits. Would I drink it again? Sure.

16oz can. Served in a snifter.
Pours a slightly hazy, but otherwise clear golden body, two finger thick white head with a lot of retention, splotchy lacing. Big head. Smells of bread, orange marmalade, floral notes, a bit of citrus, dough, minerals. A bit bland and bready. Flavour is a nice orange and citrus combination, seguing into bready sweetness, biscuits and a mildly bitter floral finish. Doesn't pop, but at the same time it's a pleasant combination that's easy to drink. Mouthfeel is medium-lower body, good carbonation, a bit dry, mildly bitter floral finish as noted above. Overall, a decent bigger APA with good flavour, a mild bite and an ease of drinkability.
