12 oz can, best by date of 11/18/18.

Hazy gold color with a tall fluffy white head of 3 fingers, receding gradually to 1/2 finger and leaving sparse thick lacing on the sides.

Tons of lime zest in the nose, tons. And it follows with sweet pie crust and citrus hop.

Flavor is delicious sugary pie crust followed by sweet and tart and sour lime. Slight vanilla and marshmallow. Bready pie crusts pops up at the end.

Crisp yet creamy feel. Perfect for this beer. Refreshing.

Overall a really wonderful tart lime beer that really executes the key lime pie thing well. Probably the best key lime pie beer I've had.

look: 3.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Appearance: Pours relatively clear and golden in color with a one finger head that fizzes away quickly; minimal lacing

Smell: Graham cracker malt with tart lime tones and a hint of vanilla

Taste: Lactic lime tones forward buttressed by graham crackery sweetness in the middle; moderately tart finish

Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: Tallgrass did a pretty good job with this one - sad to see them go out of business

Clear light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of mild grain and lime. A sweeter, almost fruit loop sort of lime that smells genuine.

Taste is a bit tart, a bit sweet, clearly lime dominant yet the lime doesn't take over except in the flavoring sense. There is a wholeness to the brew that shows it's well made and things are kept in perspective. The sweet lime balances the tartness and the tartness balances the sweet lime. Refreshing and pleasing.

Mid texture with balancing carbonation.

I like it. For a lime theme light brew it carries itself well being balanced and well behaved. Not a general purpose food matching beer but a refreshing pool side companion.

Pours a clear gold color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Slight retention and poor lacing. Smells of strong lime, candi sugar, slight sweet malt, vanilla, and a hint of licorice. Fits the style of a Fruit/Vegetable Beer. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. There is an elevated tartness. Tastes of strong lime, candi sugar, slight sweet malt, vanilla, and a cola. Overall, it really does taste like Key Lime Pie; but otherwise weak appearance, blend, and feel.

Taste: tasty, lime zest, semi sweet, tart, fresh like an island Key lime pie. Same with the nose. Bright gold hue, mostly clear, tall foam head with some sticky lace. Medium body. Good dessert ale for warmer weather.

12 oz can, drink by 11/3/17. Pours slightly hazy straw yellow with a big fizzy white head that retains fairly well and leaves little lacing.

The aroma is citric lime and vanilla cream soda.

The flavor is sharp tart lime with some vanilla and cream soda. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and a bit thin.

Overall, an interesting beer, but I didn't care for the vanilla and cream soda. I remember Short's doing a better version of this.

Worth an occasional pint for novelty. Just taste like key lime pie in a beer. Too artificial for me. Wife loves it, probably because it has a sourness like the sours and goses she prefers.

Key Lime Pie pours a golden color, with not much head. Big sweet aroma, that smells just like key lime pie, crust and whipped cream include. Flavor is on the sweeter side, lots of sweet key limes, hints of gram cracker and cream. Good body and feel. Overall, tastes just like liquefied pie.

Appearance - Pours relatively clear and golden in color with a white, near finger width head that fizzes away quickly, leaving a mostly barren surface with a razor thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. No lacing.

Smell - Lime is prominent, with a whiff of vanilla and some crackery malts.

Taste - Follows the nose. Huge key lime flavor tartness upfront and throughout. Hints of vanilla and a graham crackery sweetness emerge by mid-taste. Finish lingers with that lime tartness.

Mouthfeel - Light-bodied with bitey carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a sharp, crisp finish.

Overall - Concept was key lime pie in a can and they nailed it. Taste is very similar to the key lime goses I've had, though without the salinity. This is a perfect beach beer.

Pours an effervescent & hazed bronzw with 2 fingers of rocky, cream colored head. Okay head retention & lacing, cleared up a bit

S: Citrus & breadyness, more like pie once warm

T: Follows the nose, dryness as well, tastes a bit like the pie. Tart lime as this warms, along with some sugary sweetness. Funishes dry, tart, limey & bready sweetness on the edges

MF: Light/medium body, firm carbonation

This pretty is much like the namesake, refreshing & fun at the same time

Very tart lime flavor. Has some sweeter pie and graham cracker like notes as well but the tartness is the big player. Unique and worth trying. Kind of refreshing. For what it is supposed to be it hits the mark.

12 oz can pours a fairly hazed gold with a nice cap of fine-bubbled white head. Retention is just ok and doesnt leave much lace.

Nose is somewhere between a lime soda and a cream soda, I can see key lime pie here. sweet, a little graham crackery. The cream soda aromas I am getting are oddly arousing.

Taste is tart and limey. Pretty crazy little brew here. I dont get much sweetness, but that is ok with me. It is a refreshing little brew and has a light body. I like it, the tartness and lime flavors are perfect for a hot Texas summer.

For being a Key Lime Pie flavor, well it was bad. Could not taste any graham cracker or icing. Nothing but Lots of lime. Would not recommend it to people. Maybe a drink by the pool, but not even for a taste. Needs to have the flavor of the name,

I'm not sure what I was expecting - how could this be something I like when I really don't care for key lime pie. It is exactly what it says it is, in spades.

It pours like any brew, medium dark yellow. The head disappears quickly, not to return. The aroma is fresh and fruity.

It tastes like key lime pie - sweet, tart. There is creamy mouth feel that adds to the authenticity of the taste. The after taste has a ton of that sour bite.

If you really wanted a beer that tasted like sweet and sour lime pie, here it is, otherwise, this is not recommended.

Poured from 12-ounce can into a can glass. Brewer classifies this as a sour blonde ale, brewed with Soriach Ace hops, lactose, lactobacillus. and lime peel. This combination nails the key lime pie flavors. Lots of lime-forward citrusy tartness, with the lactose and malts providing an almost graham-crackery sweetness. Light in body, with the carbonation dissipating rapidly after the initial pour. Just a little lingering sweetness on the finish. This was well thought out and well executed. Well worth seeking out if you like this sort of thing.

Quick white cap on pale gold (4) liquid; no ring, no lace, just a lot of bubbles; excellent clarity. Lime nose. Lite tart lime, and "pie" flavor that is sweet and graham cracker crust good. Fizzy, highly carbonated; crisp and clean feel. Clean finish with short tart lime linger. A good summer pounder.

12oz can, served in a pint glass. Pours a slightly opaque copper body, one finger white head, good retention, no lacing. Smell is key lime tartness, a slight malty sweetness that seems to work perfectly in capturing that graham cracker goodness. Slight marshmallow, kind of weird but cool. Flavour is heavier on the lime, slight biscuity sweetness, finishes with a combination of lime juice and touch of graham cracker sweetness. Mouthfeel is lighter bodied, slightly lower carbonation than expected, but deliciously drinkable on a hot day.

Bursting with lime. I wanted to hate this from the start, but it wouldn't let me. It wasn't sweet (a strong point in my book), nice carbonation, and I could taste crust. A little citrus soda like, but this is a win for what it is in my book.

Had this on tap at a local festival last year & loooooved it. Not sure if it was actually great or just a break from all the big stouts & IPAs, but I ran out & bought some. 12 oz. can.

I have to say, I’ve never seen head like this. It booms out of the can then collapses; maybe fifteen seconds from two or three fingers of white foam to naught but a nigh-invisible ring around the glass. That probably means something. What’s left behind is a clear orange beer with residual carbonation, bubbling up a tiny stream right in the middle like a hidden spring. Smells like lime & Cool Whip.

Key Lime Pie tastes like a virgin mixed drink. Schweppes Lemon Sour soda with an additional twist of lemon, after which the lime comes on with a vengeance. That’s it. Bit of creaminess. Strength is it’s easy drinkin’ ways, what with the low ABV & simple DNA.

A big letdown from the festival tap version; I wonder if this is the same beer. A pretty good beer, but it doesn’t match the flowery love of my memory.

Pours golden yellow with big fluffy head.
The aroma lime, lacto sourness and vanilla.
The flavor follows the nose, but is very vanilla forward. Way overdone, the fruit is more lime peel than fruit and the tartness is very week. I'm disappointed in this from tall grass.

This beer pours a pale gold with an average head. The aroma is really, really like a key lime pie - sweet and sour pie filling, and graham cracker crust. The flavor is much the same - sweet and tart with a hint of lime, and a strong finish of graham cracker crush and a marshmallow frosting like flavor. The mouthfeel is a light and refreshing. Overall this is definitely a gimmicky beer, but as someone who loves key lime pie, I relly do enjoy it - it captures the flavors remarkably.

Served on tap. Pour is a golden color with minimal head and some big, bubbly carbonation. Aroma is tart key lime and sweet marshmallow/lactose. The flavor is dead on for key lime pie filling. Bright, tart and refreshing flavors of soft, creamy key lime topped with a dollop of whipped cream, but missing the full flavor of the crust. Absolutely worth a pick up. Would love to do a side by side with Short's Key Lime Pie.

12 ounce can into pint glass, best before 9/14/2017. Pours fairly clear medium golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger foamy white head with solid retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap that lingers. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of tart lemon, lime peel, green apple, graham cracker, vanilla, marshmallow, and light herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of lime peel, lactose, acidic yeast, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime peel, green apple, graham cracker, vanilla, marshmallow, and light herbal/yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness and slight bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime peel, green apple, graham cracker, vanilla, marshmallow, and light herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of lime peel, lactose, acidic yeast, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from tartness/acidity, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately acidic, and fairly creamy/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a great fruited sour blonde ale. All around great robustness and balance of lime peel, lactose, acidic yeast, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the balanced tart/acidic finish. Not much complexity going on, but this nails exactly what it is going for in the name. Nice Lacto presence, but it never overwhelms the lime peel/lactose flavors. A really enjoyable offering.
