Brassy colour with a ring of lace, clarity is fine.

Crisp dryish malt character in a moderate body, touch of sweetness up front which goes away quick. Slightly brash hoppiness with a flexed pungent bitterness of citric rind. Maltiness is still big enough to hold its own with a breadiness in the back.

A tasty American Red, love the use of hops and pushing the malt back enough so you can get the full range of hops.

Always nice to get to try a local on cask. This one poured reddish amber, clear, with a minimal head created, dissolving to a nice tiny bubble sheen, and leaving much lacing. Smooth hoppy notes, early maltyness, leading to a chalky finish. Fairly crisp and spicy, interesting little brew for a style that typically leaves me yawning..

Reddish amber with a thin head that becomes barely a covering. Some lacing sticks to glass.

The smell is citrusy with caramel and a hint of fruitiness.

The taste is of citrus and dough and caramel. Nice blend of bitter and sweet. Hops are more noticeable than usual for style, but sweet caramel and roasted grains keep it in style and give it a nice flavor. Medium to full bodied. A good, hoppier interpretation of the style with just the right amount of caramel.

On tap at the Brew Pub.

Poured a deep orange color with a small sized off white head. Aromas and tastes of light caramel and some hops. Caramel a little stronger in the tastes with the same lighter bitter hoppiness.

Amber colored. Nice beer all in all. This one was a winner in this category at the 1997 GABF. What that means??? However, this one laced thinly, stayed the course. Had a mild hop and malt aroma. Nice malty taste and medium body. Mildly hoppy. Very fresh and crisp/clean.

Pours an amber hue that is clear and carries a brown tone. Nose is sweet. Flavor is hoppy a bit with a slight metallic edge on a sweetness. Feel has a decent bubble to it and a nice enough liquid feel. Definitely worth trying. A pretty even brew overall.

Reviewed on 8/15/08. On cask at Blind Tiger. Pours amber with no real head. Aroma of flowery hops and light sweet malt. Flavor is flowery initially with bitter hops in the finish. Nice sweetness from the malt. Kind of bland but certainly drinkable.
