Best by March 2013...no wonder it was marked down at Total wine.Poured into a 1/2 liter stein a slightly hazed orange tinged light to medium golden with a large blooming white head atop that settles oh so slowly leaving broken chunks behind in its wake.Graint and lightly toasted in the nosewith verly light leafy hops, pretty light in the aroma department. The flavors still seem pretty fresh with dryer malty tones and some toasted grain,a decent shot of herbal/leafy hops are there and the alcohol presence is not.A lighter double pilsner,it's not heavy and or sweet,I liked it but it won't knock your socks off.

On-tap at the Floyd Fandango beer & wine festival. Got a decent tasting size, so decided to review it.
Poured a white head, like blinding blizzard white, and the body is a glimmering golden with just a touch of haze.
Aroma was mostly flowery and honey, just a trace of sulfur very far back.
Flavor is where this thing really impresses, and being my first-ever Blue Mountain beer, I went back to try a few of their other offerings and wasn't disappointed. UberPils is a sweeter pils, candy-like even, although not at all cloyingly so. A nice thread of honey in there, a generous helping of bready/grainy malt, and a very pils-ish mineral/sulfur vibe, which follows into the finish.
While this is crisp to a point, it's more wet than dry, if that makes any sense. A succulent, even juicy feel.
This is a double pils that doesn't forget what a pils should be...and then expands on all the right facets of the style. A fantastic beer, one I hope Blue Mountain will consider brewing year-round.

semi hazed dull golden color with a super active big craggy and off white head. Tropical fruits and overall grassiness on the nose. Sweet breads and faintly peppery.
Very dry beer and also pretty clean for the size of the beer but not a super clean beer. Smooth creamy body from the bottle conditioning. Nice and full too, doesn't thin out anywhere. Grassy with faint citric fruits and peppery bitterness on the backend which is rounded out by the thick malt body. Balance is impeccable with layers of flavors. Grassy, citrusy, toasted graininess, rich hearty breads, all layered to create a wonderful balance. I like it.

a: uberPils is served in a curvy glass and capped with a negligible layer of white carbonation, the beer itself is a sunny, rich golden color
s: the nose is thick with bready pilnser malts and carries a delicate honeyed sweetness, saaz adds grassy and pulpy candied citrus aromas with just a touch of spice
m: crisp medium carbonation and a body on the full side of medium, maybe a bit slick and while I'd like it a touch livelier there's not much to complain about here
t: big body of pilsner malts, honey grain sweetness rounded out with a pulpy saaz hop flavor that carries with it some herbal spice, progresses towards a crisp finish, very nice
d: just fine, a pleasure even on this hot afternoon
16 oz. serving at the BMB brewpub
