Purchased on tap at Blue Mountain, Afton, VA.

Came a clear, amber red color with about a finger of white head. Smells of citrus, grapefruit, and malts. Tasted primarily of the grapefruit, a little bit of malts, and some bitterness which lingered for a little while. One of the heavier IPAs that I've had but not unpleasantly so. Overall it's a solid beer, nothing to go out of my way to seek out, but if it's on tap I'd be willing to order it again.

Served on tap at Blue Mountain Brewery in Afton, VA.

A: Pours a crystal clear amber in color with some moderate to heavy amounts of visible carbonation and some light amounts of ruby red highlights. The beer has a half finger tall sudsy light beige head that slowly reduces to a thin film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a couple of small slightly thicker patches and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to heavy amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of caramel malts along with citrus/grapefruit and earthy hops.

T: Similar to the smell, the beer starts out with a moderate amount of caramel malts that then leads into the hop flavors - citrus/grapefruit and earthy. Light to moderate amounts of bitterness which linger for a short amount of time.

M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Pretty easy to drink and definitely an enjoyable beer - nothing that really stood out but I would have another of these without question. Pretty well balanced.
