Poured a copper body with two finger head that left lace ring down glass entire time I drank beer. Earth, dirt, dry are the adjectives that I believe adequately describe the hops, not so much citric, and there is a smidge of bready, caramel malts in there as well. Medium bodied, slightly dry, crisp finish, a bit of caramel malt adds touch of sweetness that complements an earthy, dirty, dry citric hop bite that is pleasant. The beer is well-balanced in terms of being a slightly sweet hopped-up beer and everything works together for a pleasant beer.

Truly solid Red IPA. hard to get a great red ipa and this one is the real deal. Only available on draft and it is awesome! I've tried a lot of red IPAs, this one hands down my favorite.

Had this a few months ago at the brewpub. From what I understand this was an experimental batch, but it was the best beer I've had from BMB (and I've had quite a few).

Red Zeppelin is a hoppy take on an Amber or Red ale. It's bitter and hoppy like an IPA with a medium body. The color is amber with a reddish hue. This beer is loaded with new school hops! Citra, Sorachi Ace, Motueka and a couple others that I'm blanking on. These hops give the beer a wonderful, tropical fruitiness without it being too sweet. The nose was primarily grapefruit, but the flavor was layered with lemon and tropical notes on top of the wonderful grapefruit. The beer is very well balanced and drinks much more like an American IPA than your typical amber.

They need to bring this beer back. Bottle it, can it, I don't care, but it would be a travesty if this beer was just a brewpub one-off. It's nice to see BMB experimenting with hoppy beers. I feel like a majority of the new beers have been barrel aged, so it's refreshing to see them executing a new style and "an experiment" so effectively.
