22oz brown bottle with no freshness date.
Rimmed with a thick white lace, slightly hop hazed golden amber color. Massive citric hop nose, from pulp to rind with some other suggestions of evergreen ... exactly where it should be for the style. Bitterness is pretty hefty ... 75 IBUs is very believable and right at the edge but not going overboard. The flavor from the hops is amazing with orchard citric ranging from rind to juice to blossom. Maltiness spikes here and there but seems to want to break through the most in the finish with a slight toasted breadiness. Alcohol is modest but warming with a quick toss in of fruitiness. Hops never lose their grip on the palate, finishes bitter and semi-dry.
Wow, what a killer IPA this is ... as I said, the hops are right on the verge of being over the top though if they were a little bit I would not mind. Balanced? Sure, for the style while pushing the envelope a bit.

I can't believe I haven't rated this beer I have had it so many times. Clear amber orange with three fingers of thick white head that lasts about ten minutes. Plentiful lacings.
Smell is floral and fruity. A bit of malt sweetness.
Taste is big fruity pink grapefruit some tropical fruit and plenty of hop bitterness. A bit of hop resin character slides in toward the end. Really a bold and tasty IPA.
Mouthfeel is dry bitter with a good amount of carbonation.
Overall a fine IPA that I can buy almost anywhere. Thanks HUB.

Hopworks IPA- 6.5% abv
A: very orangey amber with head that stays in a lazy sud layer on top.
S: Orangey hops, breadiness.
T: Complex, fruity flavor. Sweet citrus and bitter peels, with breadish malt backing. Well balanced.
M: juicy, sweet malt lingers on the tongue. A little bitter to drink quick but it’s complex enough to chill with for a bit.
O: One of my go to beers living in inner SE PDX just minutes from the brewery. Brewed very close to here and widely available around. Very citrusy and complex but also balanced. 4.75/5.

Another Pacific NW IPA to try...oh darn.Poured into an imperial pint glass a clear light to medium golden with a bit of orange hue,a well defined but quick to fade white head atop.Amarillo hops show themselves in the nose lending a dose of resin along with light citrus and oddly enough I picked up some hay, maybe from the two kinds of pilsner malt?Lightly toasted with definent citrus hop flavors on the palate, not really in your face hop attack but well pronounced, quite bitter in the finish. This is a pretty good IPA,(compared to Laurelwood Workhorse not so much)its hops seem a bit subdued and has that organic beer thing going on...dont ask me what it is I just can tell.

At the brewery, real cool, almost glowing orange. Tons of cascading lace when you have it on tap. Killer hop aroma. A plethora of hop varieties in the dry hopping I would guess.
Beautiful display of hops on the tongue, bitterness is just about perfect, not grating, not just a long boil, but massive hop mouthfeel, green, vegetal, could tell me it was a fresh hop ale and I'd believe ya. Hops shine despite a solid malt presence, this one isn't light in that department. To get that orange, in a single, just nice man, so nice. Pine is huge, citrus is large. Pine trees and tangerine together again. Dry finish.
A must for all hopheads.
EDIT: 4/13: I've had this so many times lately that were not as good when fresh or something. I dunno. Great stuff at the brewery, not so great in cans, bottles etc. . .

Big light off white head settles into a nice lacing above a clear copper-bronze colored beer.
Citrus, pine, and fresh grass hops aroma that seems to be on the lighter side.
Nice hops taste that is not overwhelming but definitely there with some citrus, some pine aspects and a little bit of fresh grass attributes, giving this IPA a pleasant IPA taste.
A dry slightly bitter hops taste aspect to the aftertaste of this medium bodied beer.
A decent beer definitely worth a try if you are into IPA's or the Portland beer scene.
