Sampled at a tasting. Clean golden pale pour with a small white head. Smells of honey, grapefruit and tropical fruits. Crisp and refreshing, with taste notes that include grapefruit, pine and some tropical fruits.

Awesome orange appearance with over an inch of head. Aroma seemed to drop a lot of amarillo and simcoe on us. Again, very nice.

Taste was very adept at hiding alcohol, format isn't convenient as is the price per ounce, but its a really good beer. Hits all kinds of hop flavors in terms of pine and citrus (orange). One of the older beers that was before the Citra hop killed everything. Very sexy.

Slightly hazy orange color with off-white head. Aroma is slightly dank and resiny, west coast style. Taste starts hoppy and bitter up-front, earthy, piney with grapefruit on the finish. Medium body and carbonation. Well made, classic west coast style DIPA.

Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Some residual lacing in the glass. Nose is pine and citrus. Tastes is well balanced if slightly sweet from the malts.

A great IPA. Very solid pick but nothing unique.

Slightly hazed golden amber color, with plenty of foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Really interesting aroma of passion fruit mixed with the smell of a grapefruit being peeled. Hot and oily mouthfeel. I can feel it on my lips.

Grapefruit aromatics (it's hard to improve on the Bros. concise review of this). Quite dry finish and hot with alcohol; it reminds me of a very dry sherry on the tongue. This is different from the southern California tropical fruit bomb DIPAs. But it's just as sippable. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Chuck's 85th St. Market in Seattle for $7.59.

Look: Good looking.
Smell: Smelly. Hops and pine are apparent. This has a great aroma.
Taste: The taste is a good combination of hops, bitterness, and pine, with a nice touch of sweetness. Tropical fruit stands up as the beer warms.
Feel: No complaints. Good to go.

Overall - I'm impressed. Truer to style than not.

Almost a hybrid American Barleywine and Double IPA. Quite viscous, and almost syrupy. Some residual sweetness, but well supported my monster hop bitterness. Nice sinuous, resiny American hop flavor and aroma profile.
