Had this on tap at the Portland Int'l. Beer Fest this past summer. The colour was orange with a thin head. The aroma was filled with caramel, Bourbon and toffee. The palate had plenty of CO2, toffee, piney citrus, dark brown sugar and even some butyl esters that I was expecting. Overall, good stuff!

On tap at HUB 11/13 poured into chalice. OG 15, IBU 55, 8.0 ABV, compared to 'regular' DOA OG 16, IBU 55, 6.7 ABV. $5.25 happy hour.

Deep amber body, one finger off-white (not tan) head, nice lacing. Bourbon and vanilla noticeable in the nose, balanced by bready malts, not a lot of hops in the nose. Bourbon and vanilla on the tastebuds, along with dried fruit (figs, raisins) and some spiciness, either white pepper or coriander and some piney hops. Fairly dry finish, with warming alcohol. Definitely a sipper. Needs to be warmed a bit to be appreciated. Really nice, worth seeking out.
