Interesting brewpub on the south side of town. Tasting room is to the left, dining room to the right. 3 angled bar seats 20 with tables and booths about the room, more seating in dining room and small patio out front. 20 beers on tap. Friendly bartender. Limited single cans to go. I did not try the food.

Made a completely unplanned visit here one night. Ordered their pizza—threw down on a pizza, more like it! Beers were good too. Friendly and welcoming vibe.

A sweet space with ample room (multiple rooms) for some groups to hang, super large flight options and a very wide selection of brews though most are of average quality.

Eighteenth stop on the 2017 Summer Fall Beer Trek (#17 was Johns Market, review coming soon!).
8:45 on Sunday night. Largish room, two entrances (one family friendly) as is typical of Oregon. 20 or so four tops, a few booths and room for 20 at the bar. Seating upstairs as well. 22 selections on the blackboard, most are from HUB. Maybe 39 customers total. Seemed like a sufficient number of waitstaff but service was a bit slow (just ordered beer, food is mostly burgers, pizza, sandwiches). Got chatted up by a Cali bro while ordering otherwise seemed to be mostly locals.
I got the pick your own five beer sampler, 3oz pours (Pils, Bitchin Camaro, Gear Up, Kernza Wit, Kiwi Sparkle & Pop). Ten & 15 Beer samplers available as well. Bombers, growlers, 6pks and kegs to go. Beer was good but not great; the Gear Up was tasty.

We went to Hopworks in hopes to sample their IPAs. What left a bad taste in our mouth before we even got to said beer, was the fact that we couldnt just sample thier 5 IPAs. In fact, in order for us to try the beers we wanted, we had to buy the 15 beer sampler! So, basically we had to get 10 other beers that we had little interest in trying. However,i did end up liking their ESB on nitro, but it didn't blow me away. We thought we would love their Mosaic IPA, but it fell flat. I guess I wanted more flavor, more hoppy "punch". Sadly, for us, none of the IPAs managed to wow us. I doubt we will visit again, when there are so many great breweries nearby. I have to put this brewery in the same category as I do with Rogue... the "chain" craft brewery, that has plenty of options for it's customers, just nothing to write home about.

Hopworks is my most visited brewery. The happy hour is awesome and food is great. They are often extremely busy and arent always able to handle it the best. Another downside is that the beer is always great, never amazing. They offer a few seasonals I am in love with but other than that they offer very few new brews and they are often let downs.

A fairly standard brewpub - it seemed set up decently well for families. We were there at lunchtime on a weekday, so not sure that's the best time to judge vibe.
The beers were all quite good, though the IPAs stood out as being very solid NW IPAs. The variety included some mid-colored beers (winter warmers and amber offerings) as well, so not too bad overall. A little more breadth and depth would go a long way, but you probably won't go lacking for a style you can enjoy unless you really pigeonhole yourself. There were some really good beers, but nothing jumped out as top notch, which is fine.
The service was friendly, though just barely on the side of laid back. The food was tasty, but we had varying degrees of warmth to our party's meals. Hard to judge if this is a consistent thing or a one time thing with only one visit. I think this rating has the best chance for a bump on subsequent visits.

Wanted to try a new place out with the girlfriend and decided on HUB. I had previously only had one of their beers and man was I totally blown away by this place! I was really digging the whole bike motif, something that they include on many of their decorations. They even have a bike bar downstairs in the brewery! The restaurant/bar area is above the brewing equipment, which just looks cool. HUB has definitely incorporated its urban aesthetic inside with all manner of industrial touches. From the beer side, I was very very impressed. We split a sampler of 15 3oz pours for only $12! Got to try nearly everything on the menu and we split a 2010 vintage of their Noggin Floggin barleywine. Everything was very tasty, food included! I'll be making this a priority to return to. An underrated Portland brewery IMHO.

Went here for dinner. Wide selection...I think we had the 18 beer taster. All varieties were offered. For those that we lean towards they were solid. The pizza was very good. Vibe was cool with the bike parts and old beer cans lining the wall.

An all around solid brewpub.
The space is a converted tractor showroom. These guys made every effort to promote sustainability and organic products in the design of their brewery and restaurant.
They currently have 14 standard, 1 nitro, and 2 casks on tap. Many beers are organic, others are certified salmon safe (I'm honestly not even sure what that means, but it sounds nice). You can get a 10 beer flight for $9 or a 15 beer flight for $12.
Food menu is large and high quality. Service is very good.

Great surprise just a bit outside of downtown. Beautiful bikes all over. Very good red on tap. Food smelled good but I did not eat.

Holy Moly ! This place is as Portland as it gets ! Sustainability ? Carbon neutral / zero carbon footprint ? Strip club next door ? Check, check, & check. The main downstairs area, which is always packed, will be one of the best beer-drinking atmospheres you will ever experience. You'll notice the bicycles hanging from the ceiling, because Portland LOVES its bicycles. There's an upstairs area for introverts, but you DON'T wanna be an introvert in PDX. Great beer selection listed on the classic chalkboard that all of us beer geeks know & love. The best time to visit, in my opinion, is at night. Grab a seat on the sizeable outdoor patio area and take in a very decent view of the downtown / Western Hills area. The first brewpub / beer place that I visited when I moved to Portland on a July 4. I froze my balls off. Seriously. There's also a nice wine shop across the street. So...don't be a beer idiot when you beercation in PDX. Put HUB towards the top of your list ! AND...the best & cleanest urinals in Portland.

This is an odd place, something about it feels like it isn't actually a brewery, more like a chain sports bar or something? The only thing that seemed appropriately "Portland" about the place was the fixture above the bar made out of old bike frames, though that was more trying too hard than neat.
The beer was just on the happy side of average for a Portland brewery. Most were good, nothing was really memorable. The selection was a bit better than most and they branched out in terms of style more than some similar breweries I visited on my trip to PDX. They get bonus points for offering a full on "everything on tap" sampler tray as an option rather than screwing around with six glass samplers when they have nearly twenty beers on tap.
Our food experience was limited to a soft pretzel and beer cheese dip, but it was good. The service was good as well.
Overall it's worth a visit, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get there when there are a few excellent breweries in the city, and oh so many that might as well be this one.
