Thanks Heisey for gifting me with a pounder can of this. The brew pours a clear golden color with white cap that fades leaving spotty lace.

This smells sweet with grain and a touch of fruity and floral character before a hint of sulfur, corn and grass follow in.

The taste is sweet grain somewhat corn-like before hints of sulfur and grassy bitterness come into play. Across the middle are some fruity and floral aspects.

This is light bodied with moderate carbonation. An easy drinking and solid interpretaion of a style that doesnt get much love.

This is the best looking Kolsch Ale I've ever seen with a bright iridescent yellow and a thick white foam. The nose is full of malt and grain. The flavor is very assertive for the style with a cereal malt, light barley, nutty pecan and a kilned grain. Kolsch is not the style I go to for flavor but this one is well done.

Poured from 16oz tall can into a pint glass. Looking forward to this one!

Appearance: medium yellow hue with a light haze and a light effervescence. Head is a thin layer of white foam; not at all bad for the style.

Smell: lightly sweet with a hint of graininess and just a dash of noble hops. Subtle yet refined; I like it a lot.

Taste: grainy malt with a light sweetness and a very floral hop character. I've had Kölsches and pale ales with this kind of grainy/floral combo, but rarely is it done as well as it's done here.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a big, big carbonation and a massive creaminess. Woohoo!

Overall: I could see this beer being a go-to if it were available in my area. It is definitely one of the best Kölsches I've had.

Murky gold pour with bright white head. Clovey nose. Coriander and a little flowery hop taste. Mouthfeel is lite and crisp. Very tasty light Kolsch.

Really enjoyed this beer. Not usually my style, but this is great. Super smooth and very drinkable. Lighter, but still great flavor. Lovely!

L: Pours a slightly hazy yellow; attractive with great head and some solid lacing, but the haze is not quite correct to style, as kolsches are traditionally filtered.
S: Light cereal grains and grassy, floral hops predominate. Some slight lemon and fruit characteristics from esters. It smells incredibly refreshing and pleasant.
T: a slight touch of grainy wheat taste is complemented marvelously by a bit of light malt sweetness; hops noticeable with a floral aspect that includes some melon and hay, along with some lemon zest. No component overpowers and it is light and refreshing; by far the best-tasting Kölsch I've tried.
F: medium-heavy carbonation with a light-medium body is correct for style and quenching. Very drinkable as a kolsch should be and I'd have no problem sessioning this beer.
Overall, a great beer that serves as a standard bearer for taste, smell, and drinkability in the style. Lives up to its place as the top kolsch on BA.
