Poured on draft into a wide mouth glass (an unusual glass ware choice at this establishment). Excellent curtain lacing from a thin head. A deep red color with an caramel, fruity taste. Sort of like a red IPA. Smooth rich feel, an enjoyable beer!

Pours a amber red. Smells of sweet malts, rye, earthy/grass hops. Tastes of sweet malts, rye, some pine, grassy. Medium body and med/light carbonation. Pine resin and sweet malts left on the palate.

Not a bad malty brew with just enough hoppy bite. The color is actually a rather nice red-brown. Even a decent cap of foam in the tall Belgian glass.

Sweet from start to finish, but the hops are bitter, woody, and tangy, all in a nice way. Quite a decent brew. Modest floral and resiny aroma.

Jeez, I should have been reviewing this instead of sipping and reading Christmas letters. I am feeling woozy...

Pours an almost opaque super dark crimson with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and candied fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with brown sugar, citrus zest, and pineapple juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid candied fruit and citrus forward hop aspects all around.

Serving type: can.

Beer starts off decently with a nice looking reddish copper color. Its all downhill from there as the beer is overhopped beyond enjoyable. The trend these days is to make beer so hoppy that it tastes like grass, bbut htis is just rancid and terrible. Undrinkable. Says its from the Vault series, but they should keep it in the vault. Steer clear.
