Huge mouthfeel of chocolate and caramel malts, nutty dried fruit flavors with a big chocolate finish. It has bits of real panther in it...so you know its good!

12oz can. Stamped on can bottom is 'Crafted On 11/15/22'.
Brown colored body. Two fingers of beige head quickly reduces down to a few bubbly islands, and no real ring. No lacing.
Aroma of roasted chocolate malt and a hint of dried berry fruit.
Taste is a mix of roasted chocolate malt and semi-sweet red berry, such as raspberry. Dry and chalky in the aftertaste.
Less than medium mouth feel. Dry on the tongue. Okay carbonation.
The sweeter berry part of the flavor really shows up at the last moment, and really changes the taste profile from a dominant chocolate roast to a mixed one, similar to an odd chocolate coated candy with a kind of weird fruit filling.

Canned 9/30/21; drank 11/12/21 @ Midsommar Phoenix.
Opaque brown/black appearance.
An even pour yielded a nice khaki head; almost no lace.
Chocolate chip, fresh earth & faint raspberry notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Chocolate chip, fresh earth & faint raspberry flavors.
A robust porter that avoids being too sweet. Pretty good!

6.9% ABV version, here.
LOOKS: Dark brown with a finger of tan foam. Very spotty lacing, if any.
AROMA: Small amount of cocoa and chocolate. Pretty nice nutty quality...peanutty, maybe a hint of hazel nut.
TASTE: Nut flavor comes through, chocolate is really quite weak for a 'double chocolate' porter. Alcohol is well hidden.
FEEL: No real pop to the slightly below average carbonation, a little slick up front, and drier on the finish, medium thin mouthfeel. Not watery, really, just a bit thin.
OA: Where is the BIG chocolate? Nothing really off putting to the brew, just a bit thin, and lacking any real pizzazz. Reminds me of a SA Chocolate Bock or a Leine's brew.

Dark brown body; head is thin and very fizzy. Dull notes of chocolate in the smell; a bit of sweetness. Light cocoa flavor; a touch of vanilla; little perceived bitterness. Medium-light body; thin and watery; light sweetness to the finish.
There's little to recommend for this beer. It's sub-par for a supposedly "double chocolate porter", lacking depth and complexity in the smell, taste, and feel. It's balanced, in a low-key way, but lacks punch.

Pours a dark mahogany brown with a cream tan head that sits for a bit before creating a blanket over the beer.
Smells of dark roasted malt, chocolate, dried fruits
Taking a sip I find big dark chocolate, slight coffee, dark fruit, slightly wheat,
Overall an ok porter, glad I got to try it while visiting town

a solid chocolate Porter. Well done. Great aftertaste great chocolate presence and smooth for 6.9%abv. My only complaints would be more smell and more of an initial taste/bite.
