Poured from a 12 oz. can into a shaker pint glass.

A: Slightly hazy, light amber color with over one finger of dense white foam head. Heavy lacing remains on the glass and streams of bubbles climb around the periphery of the column.

S: Very yeasty, this beer's smell fills the local area with the qualities of newly-risen dough and banana esters. Actual pineapple is fairly weak, but it is revealed in a very close-up inspection.

T: Begins very off-dry, with soft palate-filling wheat and citric acid. The middle is milder, with generic fruity yeast esters and a whiff of the ebullient baker's yeast from the smell. A thread of honey populates the very un-bitter finish.

M: Thin to medium viscosity, soft on the palate to the point of being delicate, with low carbonation.

D/O: At first I was skeptical when I saw that this beer's in-site classification was as a hefeweizen--but it took only as long as my first whiff of the filled glass sitting on the table for any red flags in my mind to be withdrawn. Weissbier yeast dominates the sensory profile, very bready and ester-affected. It may be difficult for one to blindly guess that pineapple is actually involved. Otherwise, it is approachable, inoffensive--safe.

The beer smells only very faintly of pineapple and almost more of mop water. I gave it a two for taste but only because it is kinda drinkable, like its not so bad you want to spew it from your mouth. I only drink half the can and I HATE wasting beer. The feel is stingy on the tongue and sharply carbonated. I like san tan brewery and have been to their Bar in chandler AZ many times I have liked many of the beers they make, However this failed to deliver the quality I am used to in their beers.

I liked the can better than beer, but who doesn't like nice cans?

Pours a golden color with a slight haze that fell off to reveal perfect clarity by the bottom the glass. The head was scant but creamy white foam that fell with no lace. The nose is crisp wheat, a touch of bread, some grass, and a very light banana and a sweet little bit of pineapple. I think I am s=getting a bit of clove but not too much. Taste is excellent.. A nice sweet pineapple that is not too acidic and not too tart meets a flaked wheat sweetness. That mouthfeel is perfect. A little carbonation to keep it light, creamy, crisp an dry. Juicy middle. The bit of pineapple and banana are just enough to taste and enjoy but nothing that makes the beer too sweet or too much like a hefe. The clove disappeared on the palate for the most part and the hops came up deftly to balance this beer with a graceful bitter that you might not even notice.

Saucy little beer and I really liked it! Thank you Kerry4porters for giving me my first beer from Arizona.

Can poured into a BarrelHouse Brewing Co pint glass

A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little thin lacing.

S: Juicy pineapple, banana, subtle spice, bready wheat, and some caramel sweetness.

T: Juicy pineapple up front, bready wheat, banana, mild spice, some caramel sweetness, and a little bubble gum on the finish.

M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.

O: A bit of a science project of a beer, but it actually turned out pretty solid. Wouldn't mind some of this for a lazy poolside Saturday.
